Answers:

The S. rec center has a great kids gym on Wed and Thurs. It's not SAHD specific, but there are a couple of other SAHDs that go there.

I don't know of playgroups but there is a great park at Duboce where there are lots of fathers with there kids. And you should encourage your husband to start one.
