High Fsh Score

Austin, TX

Hi moms, I am a 42 yr.old mother of a gorgeous 5yr.old little man, and I've posted on here before and have gotten excellent feedback from all of you; therefore I'm back again seeking your help.. I had a miscarriage back in October, my husband and I got back up from that, have been trying ( thats always fun!) again, and I find out just yesterday that my fsh score is a whopping 22! Needless to say, my heart sank. Its not looking good , as far as I'm concerned. My emotions are torn, I'm usually a very positive person; but I'm tired of running into 'walls' as far as trying to conceive again and having another baby. I took Zepac a couple of weeks ago, doctor told me I had strep, he gave me 3 Zepac pills for it. Then I had a menstraul cycle that started a week early and that itself was weird because I'm pretty regular with my cycles; but then it was somewhat 'clotty'; since I had a miscarriage several months ago- it sorta felt like that. ( or maybe I had flashbacks?) My husband and I are going through an emotional roller coaster right now, we both strive to keep on but I wonder sometimes if its just false hope because we want it so much. Ok I'll stop whining, would just like to know if any moms out there had high fsh scores and still had successful births, with or withough intervention. sincerely C.

Pregnant over 40?

Austin, TX

Hello ladies, I am a 41 year old mom with a very active little boy who will turn 5 yrs.old in November. My husband & I are trying to have our second bundle of joy. So far no luck yet. My question is- am I biting off more than I can chew at my age? I do have concerns with getting pregnant at 41 ( if it happens right now that is ) like I said we are trying. With my son I had a C-section and my recovery process was very hard for me. With all honesty, when I reflect on all of that, it makes me shy away from pregnancy and birth etc. :) But we want another child very badly. I can do the diapers and bottles all over again, I'd just like to know anyone else out there in the same boat ??

Should We Wait Some More....

Dallas, TX

My husband and I have been trying for another baby since October. We have been using the charts to track my ovulation and have used the stick tests too, but we have been unsuccesful. We thought that it would be easy because I got pregnant with our 1st child on BC pills. So we have been told that we should wait at least a year before seeing a doctor about it, but my husband is being deployed in Jan and we really wanted to be pregnant before then. We feel we are up against the clock and are wondering if we should just wait until October and then probably not have time to see all the specialists before he leaves, or just accept the fact it may not happen until he gets home. We really wanted our children to be closer in age. Anyways any thoughts and advice would be apprecitated.

Surrogate

Omaha, NE

I was wondering if anyone knew anything about becoming a surrogate. I had my first child 16 months ago and had a wonderful experience. I loved being pregnant. I am wondering the process for becoming a surrogate mother. Where do I start? Is the use of an attorney critical? How do I connect with a couple in need? I would also welcome any advice about being a surrogate in general? I am not sure I am done having children of my own...I just loved being pregnant and would love to be again...but am not sure I want my children to be so close in age and am not ready to care for another infant just yet. However, since I loved pregnancy, I thought maybe surrogacy would be a prefect alternative for me...and a way to help out another couple in need.

TTC 2Nd - No Cycle

Chicago, IL

My husband and I are trying to conceive our second child (we have a 18 month old girl). I went off the pill in May and I have yet to have a cycle. I went in to my Dr. and she prescrbed Progesterone to try and jump start my system, but still nothing. Has anyone experienced this? I am feeling very frustrated that we don't even get a chance to try. Any advice or even just a 'hey, I've been there' would help.
