I am honored to review Anne and Tranquill Seasons. We had twin girls in September and although we had lots of family support it just wasn't enough. We contracted with Anne to come in (overnight) a few nights each week for a couple of months. It was amazing! Some people would question how we could trust a stanger in our home with our precious babies. Anne did not feel like a stranger from our first email, phone call and meeting. She was very kind and willing to do what we asked of her. She would come and either help me put the babies to bed or come after they were in bed so we could sleep all night long. It is what got me through many rough months. I would highly suggest any mother (new, 2nd time, mom of multiples) seek information about working with a doula. It does cost money, but the help is priceless in my opinion. It allowed me the sleep I needed to be able to get up and function properlly with my girls the next day. Anne took care of all baby duties during the overnight, cleaned, did baby laundry and even made some ready to eat snacks for the next day. It was all helpful and wonderful. Check it out - you will not be one bit sorry you did. :-)

I placed a baby for adoption last year, and the adoptive parents got a doula to help me throughout the pregnancy and birth. I worked with Chris Anne and Cindy. What can I say? They were... WONDERFUL. There for me anytime I needed them. Chris Anne and I would meet, have coffee, and she would answer my questions and educate me about what to expect and how to prepare for the birth, not to mention all the patient listening she did (all my moaning and groaning about school and stress :-) ) Her expertise was such a comfort for me when I felt like I just didn't have a clue! More than that, she was such a comfort, a good friend to me (and if you've ever been the pregnant girl in a freshman class, you'll know how much that means).

I don't know how I would have gotten through the birth without Chris Anne and Cindy. I have an opiate sensitivity and really wanted a water birth, so that meant no pain meds and no epidural... And once the back labor kicked in, that was pretty hard to stick to. But they gave me the support I needed, and thanks to them that sweet baby girl was born in the water! Then the week after, when the little one was with her new parents and I was getting used to not having her with me, my doulas were just as there for me and the adoptive parents. You could not find more caring, knowledgable, and all around wonderful people.

We hired Anne for four 5 hour shifts, during which time she cooked, cleaned, played with my toddler, helped me organize a system for cleaning bottles, answered a ton of questions about breastfeeding, sleeping and baby care in general (even being a 2nd time mom I had a ton of these), and allowed me to take some great naps (first ones in weeks!). I would wake up to a clean house, a quiet happy toddler and dinner in the oven. I trusted her completely and am recommending Tranquil Seasons to everybody I know. If I had to do it all over again, I would have had a post partum doula ready to go for when we got home from the hospital...I think it would have helped us get started on the right track, instead of waiting until we were completely stressed out and exhausted!

I can't imagine what we would have done without Tranquil Seasons. Our doula mothered me while teaching me to be a mother. Her professionalism and dedication was incredible. I can't recommend Tranquil Seasons highly enough.

I called Tranquil Seasons when my coliky 6 week old would not allow me to sleep a wink. With a 2 year old also, I thought I might loose my mind. Anne heard the urgency in my voice and took over! She sent me the most wonderful overnight doula. She was there the next night and I knew immediately she would care for my infant with love and tenderness. Tranquil Seasons gave me sanity at a time that I needed it most. The support I got from Anne (a mom herself, she knows!), and the extra sleep gave me myself back so that I could be the mom I love being.

Love, Love, Love Traquil Seasons! We worked with Chris Anne for 15 nights over a 1-mth period. We trusted her completely! She made our first month home a calmer, easier time. Thank you and we miss you!
