I found the overnight camp my oldest son goes to thru a free advisory service to parents called Tips on Trips and Camps. I was so impressed with it that I now work for them as a camp advisor. It's a company that's been in business for 38 years advising parents on the overnight camps and teen programs around the country and abroad. We help kids 8-18 years old. You tell an advisor what your child's interests and specifications are (location, length of stay, size, co-ed or single sex, specialty sports or just fun all around camp etc.) and we can send suggestions, brochures/dvds etc. of various camps that fit what you're looking for. We get a small referal fee from the camp you decide to attend. We represent over 500 programs. It is such a smart way to find the best program for your child.
