My name is Desiree and I am a licensed Signing Smart Instructor. I teach sign language to parents and children. I have a variety of classes with Signing Smart Materials. Parent Workshops (Parents Only), Daycare Workshops, and Parent/Child workshops. I also do private sign language classes with chldren and/or families and I have experience as a Special Education Paraprofessional and have learned many techniques to use to help the special needs Community with the sign and visuals as well. I am the mom of an autistic son and have worked with Desiree. I would recommend her because she not only teaches with the highest quality of skills, but she also teaches from her heart. Desiree cares and makes every child personal, as if he or she were family. This is the difference between a good educator and an amazing educator. If my child needed the communication skills that Des can provide, there is nodody better I would place my child's needs in. Again, it comes from her heart.

Desiree is one of the kindest and most patient people I have ever worked with. She was a special education para professional in my second grade classroom in the 2007-2008 school year. Her job was to work with a child in my room who was completely deaf and legally blind. Desiree of course was a natural with him and the other children in the classroom! She was my interpretor for him and also was responsible for much of his instruction in the areas of math, science and social studies. I would recommend Desiree for any job involving children. She is wonderful inside and out!!
