I recently read the Time article 'A Grass-Fed Revolution' and I committed to trying to find a 100% Grass-Fed option to feed my family. My husband loves beef, and now that I know I can give him a heart healthy option, I was on a mission. I looked at Trader Joe's and Whole Foods, they had 'Organic', but said that it was grain fed as well. If they had Grass-Fed, it was sparse and hard to find. I continued my search and eventually ran across TheMeatGoat.com at the Logan Square Farmers Market. I love that all of their meat is fresh and vacuum sealed. Along with the beef, I ordered a pastured heritage turkey from them and it was oh so good! They have already been to my house twice to deliver and have been prompt both times. If you are looking for a healthy option for your family, try themeatgoat!

I love the meat goat! I know the meat is healthier for my family. I always look at packaging in the grocery store to try to figure out as much as I can about the food I eat, but it isn't always labeled or easy to sort through what the marketing people put on the labels, especially with meat. The website for the meat goat helps me know information about what I'm putting in my family's and my body. So far I've tried their chicken and beef. It tastes better than store bought meat, but mostly I'm just glad it's healthier. Free delivery is nice too:)
