I'm a crochet designer with more than 34 years crochet experience. My art includes a variety of things, including hand-carved crochet hooks. I like to make beautiful practical things, but I also like to have fun with it. And my designs reflect it.

I utilize custom tools and high end micro-fibers from around the world for most of my work. I believe that if it's going to be against your skin, it should be absolutely soft. I often design for chemo patients and have authored articles on this subject.

All my designs are created by me. I use a variety of texturing techniques and tools and most of my work is freeform, scrumbling or what I call "yarn sculpting."

I do custom orders and I ship as well.

Doing crochet for business just sort of happened to me. It started with making things for my kids, then the other kids at school, mother's day out, kung fu, art class, etc. wanted them too! Before I knew it, my customers ranged in age from newborn to college kids, hip moms, chemo patients and seniors and doing art shows. HATS keep me the busiest during this season, especially the ever popular "ear hats" and "squiggle hats." I've been told they are "truly uniquely Austin!" And in this area of the country, that's absolutely a compliment.

Julia's crochetwork is fabulous. Ms. C. is an up and coming fabric arts designer with an eye for details. Her work is unique and will get you compliments galore. Whether it is a simple scarf or a free-form shawl, she is your crochet artist extrodanaire. Tracy D.
