What is a postpartum doula?
A postpartum doula provides care and support for mothers, their partners and babies. She provides education on topics such as breastfeeding, infant care and soothing. She can provide practical help like cooking, light housekeeping and errand running. She may stay overnight to give mom and dad some sleep.
Every family is different and has different needs, but one thing is the same. Support for the new family is essential. A postpartum doula can help smooth the transition into new family dynamics.

Andrea is an incredibly warm and helpful (and funny) person. We were worried about having someone we didn't know in our home right after we brought our premie twins home but Andrea was the perfect combination of supportive and entertaining and respectful of our family unit. For the first several months we had the babies home she spent one or two night a week at our house helping us feed and sooth the babies during night time feedings. I would recommend her to anyone who felt a post partum doula would be helpful in their lives.

I have known Andrea for the last three years and have witnessed firsthand her experience as a mom and preschool teacher.
