This class is wonderful! My 21 month old loves to sing and dance the time away. I learn new ways to get him involved in clean up, washing himself, calming down and creative play. We always listen to the take home materials during the week for a fun at home activity. And the books have been a big hit. Kathleen is patient and kind with all the children and my son and I look forward to each class.

My 2 1/2 year old daughter has been attending Kindermusik with Kathleen since she was 7 months old. She loves the class and looks forward to it each week. It is amazing to see the transition she has made in this class. She now picks up on rhythms and is singing the songs she learns all the time. I think this class has been a great learning experience for my daughter because she is learning routines and has grown out of her shyness a bit.

Kathleen is amazing with the kids and very calm. She does a great job of putting them at ease and reading each child's personality. She is also great at pacing the class to a preschooler's attention span. If an activity does not seem to be holding their interest, she moves on to something that will. The kids really do enjoy themselves in her class. We highly recommend this class to anyone who is looking for a fun mommy and me activity.

I highly recommend Miss Kathleen’s Kindermusik and Tiny Fingers program. My son started taking Kindermusik at 12 weeks old in Pittsburgh, PA. When we moved to San Diego one of the first things I did was enroll him into Miss Kathleen’s Kindermusik class he had just turned two. Miss Kathleen was amazing with my son. She has such a warm, pleasant, charming demeanor about her that puts children right at ease. She also has a way of judging the class (parents and students) and is willing to change things up on the fly if need be to satisfy the energy in the class room. Just a little background…my mom owns 3 dancing schools back east and I taught dancing for 15 years, so I know how challenging teaching infants and preschoolers can be and you have to be creative, supportive, and willing to make impromptu changes, which Miss Kathleen does with out missing a beat.

My daughter is 18 months old and she started Miss Kathleen’s Kindermusik class at 12 weeks too. She absolutely loves Miss Kathleen and going to music class. I am a full time working mom in the medical sales field and I am able to break away to attend her class, which makes it extra special to spend time with my little girl, while being active, singing and dancing.

I also attribute both of my children’s early vocabulary and amazing speaking skills to the Kindermusik program. We did sign with both of our children and Kindermusik helped to reinforce the signing, plus learning rhythms and listening to their amazing Kindermusik CD’s and books helped too. I know I must sound like a commercial, but I truly believe every word.

In June my son started taking piano lessons (Tiny Fingers) with Miss Kathleen. I was not sure how it was going to work out, but 6 months later my husband and I are thrilled! After attending the first month of lessons with my son I was blown away. His class is 30 minutes long and initially I thought there is no way my 4 year old is going to sit on a piano bench and pay attention for 30 minutes. Well I was right. Miss Kathleen had one up on me. She also knew that pre-schoolers would not sit on a piano bench for 30 minutes so she designed the class for a preschooler. She has an amazing piano studio so when he comes to class they sing a song, learn notes, symbols etc. by coloring or marching/dancing to a CD, playing rhythm sticks or percussion instruments, play the piano and when she notices that the he is getting fidgety or not focusing she immediately gets him off of the piano bench and teaches the lesson by movement from with in the studio. My son is at the end of his second piano book. He knows and can play from sight the notes without note names. He has 5 Christmas songs memorized that he wants to play for our family on Christmas. He loves playing the piano so much that he asked that we get him the music from Chariots of Fire (from the Madagascar CD of course) which we did and he can play the melody.

Miss Kathleen is an amazing teacher and has the children’s best interest at heart. I am so thankful that she teaches both of my children and I feel that music is the foundation to everything in life!
