Silly. Curious. Vulnerable. My children’s and family portraits are all about expression – genuine and spontaneous. I love close-ups, where the child’s face fills the frame and shows me a glimpse of his or her personality. Sessions are fun and relaxed, with plenty of silliness and giggles. "Yours was the best holiday photo card we've ever received." "People thought the photo on the card you sent was fake--you know like the kind that comes with the frame." These were some of the comments we received from family and friends last year after they received our holiday card, which featured a portrait of our 3 girls taken by Chris. The photo was beautiful and natural. Just a fabulous close-up--which is a tall order when the subjects are 6, 4, and 1 years old. During the photo shoot, Chris was great working with our girls--very understanding that kids act like . . . well, kids. Our outdoor photo shoot produced so many fabulous shots that we had a hard time choosing and, in the end, overspent our budget because there were just too many that we had to have. If you want memorable shots of your children, give Chris Dorian a try.

Chris is a unique combination of extreme artistic talent, true patience, and fun whimsicality. We have two young children (ages 1 and 4) and have hired Chris to do a number of sessions for our family (including brand newborn sessions!). My kids can be difficult and at times I wondered what she would be able to capture. Without fail though Chris always comes through with amazing shots that we'll forever treasure. Everyone who sees her work always wants to know WHO took those great pictures! We cannot wait for our fall photo session this coming weekend. We're sure to get a wonderful shot for our holiday cards. Chris is a wonderfully gifted kids photographer who is a pleasure to work with!
