My husband and I were so lucky to have Taffy guide our way through the birth of our first child. Taffy was kind and compassionate, knowledgeable and calm throughout the 27 hour laboring process. In the early stages, Taffy provided a sense of reassurance and even humor; in the last stages, she served as a life support more vital than any other as this was a natural birth. Most of all, I loved how Taffy and my husband worked together as a natural team, balancing and complementing each other to give the best possible support I could have imagined. Taffy gave me, my husband and my beloved little son a wonderful beginning.

My husband and I decided early on in our pregnancy that having a doula was the right choice for us. We had no idea what to expect with the labor and delivery of our first child, and so that extra support was just what we were sure we needed!

Taffy ended up being much more than just support, she was a friend and such a kind and gentle coach. She was there for me thru all of my questions and concerns. When our big day came she totally allowed it to be all about my husband and I and the delivery of our child and yet I still remember her sweet calm voice coaching me and cheering me on as I attempted a delivery without drugs. She was such a huge blessing and we were so proud to have her there with us as we brought our handsome baby boy into the world!

When we got pregnant with our daughter (now 9 months) my husband quickly questioned "Can we have Taffy there again?" Yes, Please! Needless to say she was a blessing to both my husband and I.

We plan on having Taffy for future births, we just wouldn't do it without her now.

Taffy is a genuine, warm, caring person, so it is not surprising she is an outstanding doula. She was easy to reach, fun, upbeat and she had loads of good birthing information.

My husband and I had wanted a VBAC very much, however the fates got in the way and I delivered a healthy baby girl via C-Section.

The birth of my daughter was very positive, it was not what we expected, but Taffy was there to support and encourage us as our plans radically changed in a short time.

Now, you might wonder why we wanted to continue with a doula when it became clear we were going to have a C-section. Good question! So if you are going to have a C-section (or a vaginal birth) I recommend you ask Taffy how she can support you during your birthing experience.
