What beautiful additions to the teaching repertoine. I am a piano teacher and come across a lot of new music. I am very happy to have come upon these pieces. My favorite is the Fire Dance. It is such a fun piece that sounds harder than it really is. The rhythm is energy-charged. A real crowd pleaser. Evening Snowfall is written in an easily accessible and pianistic style. It is a beautiful intermediate level composition. Green Open Spaces is a simple but effective compostion. The music reaches real depth with an economy of notes. Ambling Along is another appealing multi-rhythmic, melodic compostion.

My daughter recently fell in love with "The Ring Master" and "Carousel" from The Ringmaster and Other Circus Music and "Fire Dance" from The Circus Collection. Before finding these pieces, my daughter was getting bored and frustrated with the piano. Learning these pieces has reinvigorated her interest in the piano and over the past few months her playing has jumped to a new level.

My kids have played many pieces in this collection and play them over and over and even bounce to the tune!!! They are all lively and remind us of fun times and the circus!!! They are the "fun" pieces to play! They especially love "The Juggler", "Bouncing Ball" and "Dizzy Clown".

My 3 children ages 12, 10 and 10 years old have been taking piano lessons from Donna since they were 7 years old. I cannot express how impressed I am with Donna's skills as a piano teacher. As each child presents with their own personalities and difficulties, I am constantly surprised at the level of accomplishment my kids have achieved studying music with Donna. I say music, not just piano because Donna has clearly embedded in my children an appreciation for music, in addition to playing the piano beautifully; Many days I shake my head and say.. Donna can get music out of a rock. Albeit, my oldest son who is the most stubborn ( i.e. practice) is also the most gifted is playing classical piano truly impressively with deep feeling. The other 2.. well... The 10 year old girl is diligent and intellectual but cant carry a tune. But can play well because her gift is her intelligence so she reads the music and plays. The 10 year old boy, has the most beautiful voice but cant focus.. but plays well too. I most love the way Donna taught my kids card games to learn rhythm and reading notes; I also love the jumping jacks and jokes and games that all enhance piano and spatial skills; But most impressive is.. I never thought my kids or anyone related to me could play THAT well and enjoy it! And.. the kids love Donna.!

I am a piano teacher and a mom who has had a great pleasure of teaching Donna's piano pieces to my students over the past year. The pieces are beautifully melodic providing the rhythmic challenges to the students who are unexpectedly surprised by such wonderfully added dissonances. There is not much recent literature that does this in such an attractive way. As much as I love teaching these pieces, one of my students declared last year that Evening Snowfalls (in the Seasonal Moments book) was the most favorite piece she has ever played in her life. After she played this piece in our studio recital I got requests from other students who wanted to play Donna's music.
This clearly show what a great composer Donna is, being able to touch children's souls and hearts with her music. I am much honored to know Donna, because I love her music very much and hope to see more compositions in the year to come.
I also cannot wait for my daughter to grow older to play these pieces!

My daughters have studied piano with Donna for years, so I know Donna's incredible commitment to developing artistry, skill and a pride of personal accomplishment in her students. Donna's published music allows her to share her passion for bringing out the best in young musicians with so many other students.

My boys (ages 9 and 10) absolutely LOVE Donna's compositions. They are lively and exciting and a great alternative to what they hear on the radio. We also enjoy Donna's enthusiasm about her music...it is infectious!!!
