Zoo on Saturday?

Our Spring Break plans have been foiled b/c of the rain. We are heading out to the arboretum today and planned on hitting the zoo tomorrow. However Sat is supposed to be real nice....Does anyone know if the zoo is TOTALLY packed on Saturdays? We would go to the Dallas Zoo, and although Thursday is supposed to be nice we have other plans.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

well we are off to the zoo this morning. As much as I hate the dallas zoo, we have free tickets, the weather has cleared up and the kids will enjoy it. We are going at 9:00 and will be back by naps!

See, I was there this past Sat and I didnt feel it was crowded at all. I thought it was fine, Radio Disney and all. Yes, there were other people there but 'packed' it was not.

Hey C.! We went to the zoo Saturday, and it was packed. Radio Disney was there, so I'm not sure if that was the reason. Even though it was packed we still had a great time. We were able to see all the animals, and the lines for the rides weren't too bad.

We went once on a Spring Break Saturday and it was crazy. The lines were an hour or more just to get in, so we did not go in. Not sure if that was just a fluke or if it is normal for Spring Break.

I've never been for spring break, but my experience with the zoo overall is that getting there first thing in the morning when they open is your best bet.
