Yummy Healthy Recipes Using Spinach
Spinach is so healthy and I want to serve it to my tot! Any good HEALTHY recipes that use spinach?? The only one I have is heavy on cheese and is pretty fattening. Thanks!!

I put fresh spinach in smoothies to hide it. Or spinach lasagna or manicotti. Those are fairly heavy on cheese too but you can find healthier versions online.

I do this all the time and my young ones eat it without question. Make sure you use chopped spinach.
Macaroni & Cheese, add spinach to the sauce
Scrambled Eggs, add spinach to it
Cook rice, add spinach to the water and let rice cook with it
Make pizza, add spinach on top, cover with cheese
Sphagetti & Meatballs, add spinach to the meatballs.
Mashed potatoes, add spinach to it ( I use real potatoes)
These are unconventional, but they work and it disguises the vegetable.

Check Cooking Light's website. They have fantastic healthy recipes. We love a pasta dish they have with tomatoes and spinach. I double the spinach they suggest and it comes out wonderful.

My daughter liked raw baby spinach instead of lettuce as a base for salads.

i love it fresh right on any salad, its great on top of pizza, barely wilted. slightly sauteed with jalapenos or chopped peanuts and tossed with angel hair pasta, mixed into any pasta sauce, mixed with fresca or ricotta cheese inside manicotti or ravioli
in enchiladas
in quesadillas
basically replacing anything that calls for lettuce

I make seafood medley. I get a 1lb package of frozen seafood medley at the store. Put a little olive oil and lemon juice in a fry pan, heat that, dump in the sea food frozen, cook a few minutes on medium to low, add a big can of stewed tomatoes, season with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper, cook 2-3 minutes, add a bag of frozen spinach, cook until spinach is done, serve over rice.
I created this receipe on my own. Feel free to add your own seasoning. you can also just make Spinach as a veggie for dinner. Just season with a little butter, salt and pepper.
