Yoga Class in Woodland Hills Area on Saturdays

I have Saturday mornings to myself (thanks to my husband) and need a gentle/stretching yoga class. I just recently got diagnosed with sciatica so I need to start with a gentle stretching class first. I would love to hear about all classes since eventually I need to do more strength work in order to prevent this in the future.

What can I do next?

Total woman was a good gym. I go to 24 hour and have no complaints about the classes. You might have to audit a class before you take it if you have problems. Some yoga classes go overboard on the down-dog pose, which you might find difficult. Another alternative is Pilates, which I like more than yoga. There are a lot of the same movements and stretches, but you get the exersize benefits of repetitive core training.

Hi K., I have taught yoga for several years in the Conejo and San Fernando Valleys. I would recommend Inner Power Yoga in Woodland Hills, True Yoga in Westlake Village, or The Absolute Yoga and Pilates in Woodland Hills. If you go to Inner Power on Saturday mornings, don't go to Linda's class, it would be too hard for you. Definately look for a level 1 or a restorative class. Good luck! Yoga is the best for healing all the way around and through! If you want more guidance on classes or teachers please feel free to contact me at ____@____.com

K.,
I am a memeber of the Total Woman Gym in Woodland Hills. They offer several differnt yoga classes through out the week. The classes are included in your membership which for me is $39 a month. They have an excellent childcare program as well, so if the Saturday am class isnt your speed , you could try another day. I know for a fact there are two back to back classes taught by a lady named Devin on Sundays at 11:30 and 12:30. They are worth a try . Hope to see you there .

Hi K.,

I can help with sciatica. I live in Sunland but could come to you for private lessons if I'm too far. If interested, e-mail me at ____@____.com and I'll provide you with my schedule. If not, be sure you go to a teacher that knows how to deal with sciatica so it doesn't get worse.
