Hello. I have a problem and would really like to see if someone who had the same would tell me what to do ... My clitoris is very swollen and red and it seems like it is disappearing (sounds strange, maybe its just swollen that much). I am taking my vitamins and probiotics every day. it doesnt itch very much but there are some white stuff there and when i clean it, it hurts even more. I am not sure what to do. Dont want to go to the dr. Maybe i can treat it from home. Help me somebody. Maybe epsom salt baths would help?
Thank you in advance.

I think you have a bacterial infection, not a yeast infection. If you can pull the skin back you might find a pubic hair wedged in there. That's happened to me. Actually, I had something similar a couple of weeks ago, and it's the first time I've ever had an infection there. Neosporin (or any other antibiotic ointment) cleared it up in my case. Put some Neosporin on tonight, and I bet by the morning it will be a lot better, then try to see if anything's in there.

Have you tried asking a pharmacist? Sometimes they are able to give possible scenarios and treatments. Also, have you tried looking up forums online? Sometimes you can ask a doctor a question online, or find someone who had a similar question to yours, and see if someone answered as to a possible explanation and cure. I would suggest seeing a doctor but since you don't want to, that's the only thing I can suggest as it could be many different things, including an infection.

im not for sure whats going on but i would call your obgyn. I was looking online and some other people had the same symptoms and had to get cut open to drain all the white stuff. Def. be getting a hold of your obgyn.

bath could help but should keep the area dry. VERY important is what you're eating too. NO sugar, nothing with sugar in it, any type of sugar by any name too. Eat a clean diet, try not to have any fruits either and it should clear up. How long have you had it? Is your probiotic dairy based? Dairy isn't a good thing for you either. Double up on probiotics too.

My friend is dealing with a condition that sounds just like this. It might be lichen sclerosis. You should really see a specialist because it is often undiagnosed and it is a rare condition. If it is even a possibility then you need to insist on a biopsy to know for sure. If you catch it early enough the treatment is a simple cream. If you don't then you will require surgery. The doctor who specializes in this is Andrew Goldstien. If you look him up and see pictures on the Website, keep in mind that those are extreme cases and yours may not look like them. In this condition the skin around the clitoris begins to close and that is when pain begins (it starts with slight itching). My friend was trying to find out what was wrong with her for over a year with doctors telling her everything looked normal and they treated her for everything under the sun (yeast, vaginitis, etc) before finally figuring out what was wrong and she ended up needing surgery. Lichen sclerosis is an autoimmune disorder.

could be a yeast infection.. IF it is.. drinks tons of water to help clear it up. Additionally, I find Capryl Acid in supplement form really does the trick for me, it gets in there and kills off the yeast. However, when taking it, the water is essential because you want to cleanse your body of that which the CA is breaking down..
Also.... Yeast Infection is one thing.. but swelling too.. while that can happen, I would that if it keeps up for too long, perhaps going to the docs...
Epsom Salts might work for the swelling but if it's a Yeast Infection, the problem started on the inside.. also, when too much sugar, white flour products and or cured foods are eaten, the yeast LOVE that and it causes them to grow... this also includes things like vinegar, peanut butter (often you can't see the invisible mold growing on it) but yeast love anything that helps them grow.. view yeast as a fungus and you can see why they would love certain foods.. also.. and you prob know this.. cotton underwear... those synthetic ones wreak havoc on the privates.. esp if you are prone to yeast infections..
best of luck

Sounds more like a bacterial infection. I would mix tea tree essential oil with cool water in a squirt bottle and use after going to the bathroom. Use about 6 drops per cup of water. See your doctor if you don't feel better in about 5 days.

Sounds like you have a vaginal infection. You can try over the counter items, but the best bet and quickest cure would be to see a doctor. This infecton could get out of hand very quickly, and be very uncomfortable. There is also a possibility that you may need an antibiotic to assist in getting this completely out of your system. You could start with trying somethng like monostat cream that you can get in Walmart or a drug store. Walmart also has their own brand that is somewhat less expensive, and works just as well. If this doesn't help make an appointment.

I would really suggest you see your OBGYN b/c it could be a BV bacterial vaginits, currently suffering. I tried to treat it at home and it actually got worse, I am now on my second round of antibiotics b/c I let it go for so long. My understanding is that even a small peice of toilet paper that got left behind can cause it but once it happens the best thing to do is to have the proper antibiotics.
