Anyone ever used the xyron wishblade? It seems alot more affordable than having to buy cartridges for the cricut...any thoughts?

I've not used the wishblade, but I absolutely love my cricut. I found a great website that sells the cartridges for much cheaper and they have sales all the time. www.customcrops.com

Get on their e-mail list and they send you an e-mail whenever they have a sale going on. In fact they are having one now, so most cartridges are under $40.

They are also having a sale on the machines too, and usually have free shipping with a machine purchase. Much better deal than anything I have seen locally.

I haven't used a Wishblade either, but I have the Cricut and it's the best investment I've ever made. I'm a CTMH Consultant and the Cricut lets me come up with all kinds of fun things to do for my business! The cartridges are a lot of bang for your buck, plus if you have friends that also have it, you all can share! They never wear out. Good luck!

I have a WB, and it was too difficult for this techno-dufus to master. Most everyone I know who has a WB loves it. I am not the norm.

I bought it thinking it was better/less expensive in the long run than the Cricut.

However, I used a friend's, and it was so easy. Now, I have the little bug and the big one also- love them both.

there is a program, not Provo cRaft, called Sure Cuts Alot or something to that effect that allows you to cut ttfs just like using WB.

I have the cricut also and love it! I got the Expression bundle from AC Moore --www.acmoore.com It comes with 4 cartridges for $329 and shipping is ususally free or only $5. I've heard the wishblade is very cool too, but the cricut is so easy and based on its popularity (everyone and every crop I've ever been to either has one or wants one) I'd say it's probably the way to go.

Personally, I don't have either. But I recently talked to a friend about it, and she recommended the Wishblade, which she has. She made the good things to say about the Cricut (like these ladies have mentioned), but recommended the Wishblade beacuse of the costs. With the Wishblade, you don't have to buy cartridges ... there are tons of free font and graphic downloads, and pretty much anything you add to you computer you can use with your wishblade. Just passing on to you her advice as well! hth
