Mamas & Papas -

Apparently today is world dictionary day. Thought to share a fun link re: Webster, and some rarely used English words.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/paul-anthony-jones/forgotte... Do any of you have a favorite arcane holiday? I'm a fan of talk like a pirate day, and of national donut day.

Best,
F. B.

We love Pi Day (March 14th) !
We always try to have a pie on that day.

It's also Boss's Day, but I don't have a boss.

So I'm just going to take a moment to appreciate being a stay at home mom. (Until my kids daggle-tail the house again) :)

Apparently today is National Feral Cat day also :)

I have the best boss ever so I brought her a latte this morning and baked some Boterkoek during lunch here at work (we have a full kitchen) and it was a delightful afternoon snack for the everyone at the office.

It's also Boss's day, and we blew it. We spend 10 minutes of talking about whether we should do something and then still did nothing.

I like April Fools and Pie Day (3.14) also "May the Fourth be with you" (5/4) Star Wars day. There is also Dr. Seuss's b-day but I forget when it is, somewhere in March.

BTW next year Pi day will be extra special- 3.14 15

Those are great words, though almost no one knows them.

There are some hilarious holidays, as shown in this link: http://holidayinsights.com/moreholidays/january.htm

There are so many weird ones I can't pick just one. Not sure who came up with these or how widespread they are. How about Marooned without a compass day on Nov. 6?

Tuesday was National Dessert Day. I didn't get to celebrate it this year, but that's one I can surely get behind!
