Working Moms Group

Are there any groups (playgroups?) - online or offline - for working moms in the dfw area. I've been a member of a stay at home mom group, but have been a working mom for the past year and a half - I can't attend playgroups during the day, and I don't have much in common with the ladies who once were my close friends in the sahm group. I'm looking for a new circle where I'll fit in more and possibly some friends for my extremely social butterfly son, who is 4. We live in Keller, so anywhere in the mid cities is where we're looking.
Hubby and I work for the same company, in Euless - m-f. We're looking for a group that has playgroups on weekends, even just an online email group - but with working moms - or even all kinds of moms (staying home, working at home, working outside the home), but where I'll feel welcome no matter what I decide is right for me or my family/no judging...

Hope all that makes sense! Thanks!

R.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Is this how to respond? I'm new to Mamasource! :) So if not, let me know - trying to respond to thank you all for responding! LOL A couple of moms in Keller, one maybe in Lewisville? Sorry I forgot where else - I'll definitely check out all the links. Thanks again.
Mark, my son, is 4. He's rather big for his age, and somewhat bright, so he actually enjoys playing with older kids - and does very well with 5 year olds and up, as well as kids his age. Like I said, he's very much a social butterfly and has not met a stranger. He gets that from my mom :), as my hubby and I are both fairly reserved and quiet.
We should start ourselves a little group on meetup I guess! :)

I'm in the Keller area too, and I've been wondering the same thing! I would love to find a way to meet with a group. My schedule is crazy right now, but I would meet anytime that my schedule allows.

Count me in. I'm a working mom too and need to find other moms who can relate to this aspect of my life. My DD is 4 and although she spends time with a lot of kids during the day, I want to spend time with other moms with the same schedule as me. Don't get me wrong, I love my SAHM friends, but I think I just want to grow my circle even larger!

I'm in NFW/Keller and I too work M-F. The weekends are OUR time, but I'm willing to make plans with others, and I think you working moms know exactly what I mean! Oh, and I did attend a Mothers & More meeting once. I was introduced as "This is T., she's a working mom" and EVERYONE looked at me like "Ohhh, you poor thing, I'm sorry you work and I feel more sorry for your kid". I felt VERY looked down upon and needless to say I never went back. But that was just my experience. Please send me a message if you organize anything!

Mothers and More is great cause its for every type of mother. The ones that work and stay home and work from home moms. They have playgroups on Saturdays.

I really like this group.

R. - Working mom groups are very hard to find & keep up with...I suggest going on meetup.com and searching. I am a member of a lot of meetups (mainly business) and I really like the format - I can feel connected even if I can't go to events. if you don't find a group that fits your needs, start one! And if you do, come post on mamasource so we can all have the opportunity to join!! (I'm always game for meeting other moms that have a similar situation as mine)

Good luck! S.

For on-line support try www.dallasareamoms.com.

It's a good board, with quite a few working moms and a pretty supportive overall environment.

I'm also a working mom in Keller, I have a 3 yo girl and 5 yo boy. What ages are your kids?
