Work from Home?? - Milwaukee,WI

My husband is self-employed and has enjoyed steady work up until last week. He says he now wants to focus on some business opportunites and take some time off. I feel uncomfortable with both of us not working, but I don't want to go back to the workplace. I love being home with my kids so I am looking for stay at home jobs. Does anyone have ideas or know of jobs that aren't scams. I have limited time during the day, but am free after the kids go to sleep. Any information would be wonderful.

What can I do next?

People ask this question almost daily and still get the same responses and "recruiters" trying to sign them up, hear the wonderful way to work at home, blah.

I have never been involved with MLM and would not because I don't like the marketing techniques, some of which are tricky. I've had plenty of people try to sign me up to sell stuff and I tend to just remove myself from that person's walk of life because I don't like being hit up to sell or buy something I don't need or believe in.

Figure out something you are good at. For instance my husband was always in outside sales where the HQ was usually a long way from us. He had no customer service support, someone to manage his office, travel, etc. I started doing this for him and ended up leaving my corporate job to be his sidekick.

Move forward 20 yrs, we now are self employed in the same business he was in 25 yrs (raw materials industry) and it is all ours..... By simply working together, we now run a multi million dollar business from home that has its own niche. I do all AP/AR Quickbooks, taxes, payroll along with the usual things I have done for him all along.

Look around you....find something you love and figure out a way to make it work.

Best wishes.

What about just being a support person for whatever business opps your hubby does? If he is self employed, then you could help out by doing paper work, accounts payables/accounts receivables, filiing etc. Tell him that you are ready to help him out part time with his new business venture! Also, you could take in a daycare kid or two. If he is going to be home now for awhile, you could get a part time job somewhere in the evenings like 3 days a week. Honestly, there are not that many work at home jobs. You could contact some local large business to see if they have computer data entry jobs at home offices?

L.,

I don't know how you feel about working from home. Here is a suggestion. How about capitalizing from services that you already use. Moreover, you can capitalize from services that others already use. By becoming part of the team in this company you have the benefit of earning income from services that everybody uses. Take a look for yourself. www.5linx.net/L463365

I work at home in addition to my fulltime job outside the home (working towards staying home all together). It isn't a scam and it isn't going to make you a fortune overnight. It can allow you to stay home with your children while helping yourself and others.

There is no selling, no inventory, no collections, and no risks.

Hi L.,
I work from home, after researching many 'work from home' opportunities. some were scams, some just weren't for me. I now have a 'home based business' so I do about 75% of my job from my home, and I am able to work around the schedule of my two small children. This is working for me- I just started a few months ago, instead of going back to my corporate career, and i couldn't be happier. I would love to share what I do with you and see if it is a fit for you! Check my website for more info-www.workathomeunited.com/themillers
U can either enter info online and I will reach out and contact you, or just msg. me on here for more info!
I also like the suggestion below to assist your husband in his business as well. My business is something my husband and I do together, and I assist him with his job as well. That way you can assist him, but also contribute to the family income.
Best of luck and keep us updated with what you decide!

HUGS-
B.
