In the past I've tried to find a legit work from home job, but didn't. Any of you mommies out there currently working from home? I really want to bring in some income while I'm a SAHM, but not sure if working a normal job will outweigh the cost of daycare, food, gas etc. Thank you ladies!

my best friend is working with 1800 flower's.com from home she does this every christmas season. you have to have internet and phone access together, and you can't let the customer's know you're working from home, she does this to make extra money for christmas, so they don't have to take out of their normal budget for christmas....

give that a try :) good luck!

you could also try becoming a medical transcriptionist, i know this probably requires medical training of some kind, but i used to work with a girl at a bank who did this, the dr's office would fax the paper's and she had a specific deadline, and would work on them during lunch and breaks from her normal job...paid her full time cause she would complete full time work, then she'd fax the info back...god i wish i went to college first thing

Hello,

I've been working from home for over 17 years. Working from home allowed me to quit my teaching career and stay home to raise our 4 children. Eventually, my husband was able to quit his teaching job as well. Working from home is our FT income (although we only work PT). I've literally helped hundreds of others to earn income from home over the years. Private message your phone number to me; I'd be happy to share the info with you.

Enjoy your day!

K. :)

The reality is that most legit work from home positions will not eliminate the need for daycare. However, if you're just looking for spending cash and not real income, check into sales jobs through companies you've heard of such as Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, etc. Going with a name you know will help you avoid scams. Good luck!

When we made the choice to have me stay home I did something kind of different --- I found ways to make the income we did have go further. I made my "job" finding deals, creating a budget, cutting expenses. You can make money simply by freeing up the money you're currently using. I tell my friends I make my husbands $1 spend like a $1.50.

I plan grocery shops based on the current ads. Cut out impulse buys -- no random trips to Wal-Mart or Target. I cancelled Cable/SatelliteTV - so we just have internet. Get Netflix instead of Cable and buying movies. Put up an antenna to get local HD channels free. That saved me $60-$100 a month. If you have a house line switch to Ooma - its just like Vonage but much cheaper. Basic service is just your local taxes.. generally about $4 a month. Doing this saved me $40 a month. . Cook instead of eating out. Clip coupons. Stock up when there is a good sale on stuff we use all the time (Toilet paper, laundry detergent). I *never* pay retail. You wouldn't believe the deals I find. My friends always come to me when they are looking for something. I buy clothes for my husband and kids from Kohls - clearance/sales plus 30% off.. most of the time I pay 1-2 dollars for a brand new shirt. I shop at TJ Maxx/Marshalls as well. My sons $40 Robeez were $15. It all adds up. Doing this we were able to adjust to going to nearly half our income.

Sit down and look at your bank statement. You might be amazed to see where your money is going. We were eating out and I knew we needed to cut back... but we were spending at least 2-3x what I thought on FOOD between groceries and eating out.

You can also order food from http://www.angelfoodministries.com/ to save even MORE on your budget.

My friend donates plasma for money hehe. You can go more often then blood (weekly I want to say) and she gets $75 each time. She very quickly made her entire Christmas budget. :)

Get creative and I bet you can do it.

Have you heard of Mona Vie? It is a health juice that provides a world of benefits. My husband and I drink this wonderful juice ourselves and feel so much better for it. Sleep, joint pain and energy as well. Since starting this product, we have become distributors for Mona Vie. http://r3gteam.com/
We believe in this product so much that we are sharing our story with others and gettin them on it as well. In the process, we are making money. It is the #1 all natural health juice. It isn't sold in stores, it's only through social networking that this is done. When you have some time, take a look at the site and look at the 2 links to the right, Essence of Mona Vie and the flip chart. You can explore the products under the red Mona Vie tab. You can learn how to get this product and make money if you are interested.
I am a stay home mom as well. I was working a temp job that just wasn't concrete for me, I needed something that I could do that was for sure. We had a friend invite us to a tasting and we heard all about Mona Vie and the benefits and how we can make money. We have been in this business for 1 month now, and already make money. It's a wonderful company that wants everyone to succeed and make money that they offer incentives all the time. My husband told me not to look for a job anymore that I would be working on Mona Vie, talking to people and sharing our experiences with.
If you are interested, let me know. Take care and God Bless!

What are you good at? Find your niche and go for it.. Arey ou good with computer skills, admin positions?

Babysitting, selling crafts, EBay and Craigslist.

We run our company from home (NON MLM) and I use independent agencies (mostly women working from home) to help with bookkeeping when my load gets too big.

Think outside the box, get creative and you can do it.
