Do the mamapedia search. This is asked ALL the time, a couple times daily.

This type of post gets all the recruiters for selling, recruiting, investing, etc to hit on you.

Do you want to actually work at home or are you considering something that allows you to take your son along?

I would suggest house cleaning/personal assistant jobs. They tend to be flexible and if you have "parent" clients, most won't have an issue with you bringing your son along. I know my housekeeper frequently brings her daughter.

As for the "sales" jobs, just be aware that while you aren't pressured to buy things- your friends and family will be. Before you consider one of those jobs, think about "who" your clients would likely be. Are your potential "hosts" people who are interested in these types of items? Do they have friends "outside" of your group? Can they afford what you are selling? Can you afford what you are selling?

I get invited to these "parties" all the time and really don't like them. I love to cook, so premixed items are of no interest. We haven't been married that long, so my cooking utensils are fairly new and so Pampered Chef is not needed... Lia Sophia is expensive for costume jewelry and so is Yankee Candle. Needless to say, sometimes I can't get out of going to these parties (DH's boss' wife does them twice a year) and I end-up buying something totally random and am annoyed about having to do so- just think about whether or not your potential client list is extensive and diverse enough to actually make you money.

Yes, this question does come up a lot. I always advise that you find something that YOU like to do. For me, it's Pampered Chef. I've been a consultant for 9 years. Low start up cost ($80-$150 MAX) and they make it so easy for us to make $$ from DAY ONE. You don't get stuck buying anything, don't keep stock in your house (big plus for me), no deliveries and I personally make at least $150 to (my average) of $250 per show which is really only 3-5 hours of work total. I only do about 1 show a week, but other people do more or less. They make it easy for us to make good pay and also give us the opportunity to earn tons of new free products. I have the best outfitted kitchen and I use my stuff every day. You don't need to know how to cook (although a love of cooking like I have helps). I don't need to recruit ANYONE - big plus for me since that's not my "thing". Anyway, my website is www.pamperedchef.biz/elainaskitchen if you'd like to check it out. Best of luck with whatever you decide.

Can you check in on houses when your neighbors travel? Pay varies, depeding on if you are letting in workers, remailing mail to the owner, etc..
Many people appreciate someone watching their place, watering plants, etc..

My neighbor pays $125 per day for someone to babysit her horrid dogs while she travels. There is one lady she allows to take the dogs to her house in the country. The vet charges $12-15 per day per dog.

Sewing pays $10 per pants to be hemmed, but I would want them done in a week max.

Babysitting before and after school for professionals who will pay top $ for excellent care. One doctor pays her babysitter $20 per hour cash because she can NOT leave her job if the babysitter has a problem. All the doctors pay well, some including social security and taxes. She did a professional, nationwide background check that includes credit problems, who else lives or visits the home, references, neighbors, and education. Most want their children watched in their own home. One allows one child to come. Most want no children, but you could work on days your husband is off and he could watch your kids.

Also, if you can pass a background check, you run errands for elderly people. I get $15 per 20 hour to pay their bills, pick up medicines and food, and so forth. I stared doing this for an elderly relative and others offered/begged me to help them out. I take my child.

One of my friends does the Tastefully Simple, another Pampered Chef, and another Lia Sofia. They love it and it works for them. I'm not sure how much they make though. I watch two children, whos moms are teachers. Monday through Friday. I love it!

Direct sales can be a blessing if you want to stay home with your child(ren). If you really work your business correctly, you'll quickly move outside of your family/friends circle for clientele. There's no need to continue "hounding" them to make purchases. The company I work for provides us a very generous commission, we don't have to keep inventory, and we don't have to recruit anyone. If you'd like to know more, please contact me. I hope whatever you choose to do, you love and it allows you to spend the time with your child as you desire.

Good Luck!

www.westathome.com. i worked for them for a while until the schedule didn't work anymore since my husband worked overnights and he was having to get up too early to watch the kids. i checked them out with bbb and they had a clean rating. also they take out taxes on you. it's an inbound customer service for different companies. they are good to work for. they provide adequate training and pay AT LEAST minimum wage in your area. i was making anywhere from $10-$18/hr depending on time and incentives they were offering.

Have you heard of Mona Vie? It is a health juice that provides a world of benefits. My husband and I drink this wonderful juice ourselves and feel so much better for it. Sleep, joint pain and energy as well. Since starting this product, we have become distributors for Mona Vie. http://r3gteam.com/
We believe in this product so much that we are sharing our story with others and gettin them on it as well. In the process, we are making money. It is the #1 all natural health juice. It isn't sold in stores, it's only through social networking that this is done. When you have some time, take a look at the site and look at the 2 links to the right, Essence of Mona Vie and the flip chart. You can explore the products under the red Mona Vie tab. You can learn how to get this product and make money if you are interested.
I am a stay home mom as well. I was working a temp job that just wasn't concrete for me, I needed something that I could do that was for sure. We had a friend invite us to a tasting and we heard all about Mona Vie and the benefits and how we can make money. We have been in this business for 1 month now, and already make money. It's a wonderful company that wants everyone to succeed and make money that they offer incentives all the time. My husband told me not to look for a job anymore that I would be working on Mona Vie, talking to people and sharing our experiences with.
If you are interested, let me know. Take care and God Bless!
