Hi Moms…We are starting to plan our annual Women’s Retreat with our Church. I need to come up with 3 ideas for a theme for the retreat. I’m drawing a blank! Please help.

You could do a spa theme. Focus on being still. As a Mary Kay independent beauty consultant, I know that we will come and do a "spa day" complementary.

Women of the Bible -- you can decorate with Barbies dressed up like them
Falling in love with Him -- decorate with Valentine or wedding looking stuff
Let God grow in your heart -- decorate with Spring looking stuff
Fun in the Son -- decorate with island or summer themed stuff
Hope this is what you were looking for. If not, message me and I'll see what else I can come up with.

Hi. Here are a couple of ideas.
1- "Choose the good part" Luke 10:38-42 It's the story of when Mary was listening and learning from Jesus and Martha was cooking and serving and asked Jesus to tell Mary to come and help. He tells her that Mary had chosen the good part.
2- Luke 12:34 Where your treasure is there will your heart be also. The focus could be about putting your heart in the right place and prioritizing accordingly.
3- Put on the whole armor of God. In today's world we all need this so badly.
4- You could talk about the parable of the 12 virgins and maybe do a modern twist on it. I've seen it done extremely well. Focus on being spiritually prepared now and how you can't depend on anyone else's "oil", etc.
5- David and Goliath. Conquering modern day Goliaths with the Lord's help.
Good luck. I hope this helps get the ideas flowing.

some great ideas here that for sure.
I saw where someone mention clown and it made me think if you went with that them, it could be how we dress up and act different but how GOD ses the real you as well as know your heart. so you can hide from othes but not from GOD with your mask.
If you doing this for young single ladies it could be about staying pure and waiting for that right man, would could go with the Princess them or a tea party them
What are you planing on studing? I think that could help you to know what kind of theme you may want to go with.
Same with when you be having it.
Have you check out some women ministy website to see what may be popular? here is a good one to check out
www.creativeladiesministry.
YOu may come up with several themes and send out a questionaire to those that might like to come or to a think tank and see what seems to be popular.
could do something on prayer and this could have many style of themes.
would love to find out what you will be doing.. wishing you a very successful event. Remember to stay in prayer and ask GOD to show you the best theme, for HE cares.
GOD BLESS

As God would have it, I just returned from a women's planning meeting at my church...we are all feeling so led that God is really working in women's ministry at this point on the Kingdom Calendar. Actually, this Friday Night, I am leading a "Princess Party" at my church and this theme is Warrior Princesses: Princess on the Battlefield. We have had several parties along these lines helping women understand that they are princesses, daughters of the King...so act like it! :)
Anyway, for this particular event, I am wearing a PINK camo outfit and decorating with pink camo and speaking on how we as women should be helping one another on the battlefield. I am so excited about it and would love to share more details of it all if you are interested in this "theme." FYI, we are a Baptist church, but not your typical baptist church if you know what I mean?! God Bless!

I teach a parenting class at church and am a stay at home/work part time mom. I love the scripture Psalms 139:13-16. Applying it to our husbands, our children, and ourselves is a terrific way of encouraging relationships, unity, and peace that all will be well. I mean, if God worked so hard to get just the right DNA for me, how hard will he work for the rest of it? '
Just a thought.

I would suggest being a Proverbs 31 wife in today's world. Lots of people I have spoken with ( specifically my son-in-law ) have a really twisted idea of exactly what a Proverbs 31 woman would be like.
