Husband and I would love to have a baby girl. We have 2 boys and are having thoughts of trying for one more...hopefully a girl. Looking for ANY advice or information on tactics or ideas to have a girl! Appreciate any feedback!! :)

What can I do next?

Well, there are a lot of old wives tails. However, it's purely genetics. The only two options you have to gaurantee a girl would be adoption or selective artificial insemination (they select only the fertilized eggs that are female) - both are very expensive I would assume.

LOL I don't think you can control that. It's all up to the male. I wished and hoped for a girl as well, thought my odds were GREAT (my family is ALL girls, daddy's family is 75% girls), but low-and-behold, here is my son! I guess if you're up for anything - google some chinese myths for conceiving a girl. I think they say on certains days of the week or month your chances are higher, not really sure! Good luck though!

You can always go online and check out the chinese pregnancy chart. It tells you what you should have by the month that you got pregnant and how old you were when you got pregnant. It worked for me with my son, so you can check it out with your other 2 kids and see if it worked with them and then you can try to see what months it says you are most likely to have a girl. Good Luck!!

how about just wishing for a healthy baby instead?

I have 3 boys and it was interesting to read everyone's post. I really wanted a girl too so we tried a 3rd time but it just didn't happen. Of course, I love my boys and would never trade them in a million years! I guess I should have tried to plan a little better with taking my temp, etc. like some of the moms posted since I thought we did 'try' to conceive a few days before I ovulated in order to have a girl. Boy (no pun intended), was I wrong! Good luck!

Hi N.! Well, this is a little "too much information" but here goes...
My husband and I tried to conceive for about 8 months, so I know the exact date of conception. We did it "backwards" or "doggy style" and we ended up with a girl. We weren't specifically trying for a girl, but since I know the exact time in which we conceived that's my only advice for you.

Good luck ;)
