Which Formula to Use?
We adopted our daughter from birth. I tried induced lactation and actually nursed her the first week of her life. After discovering latching issues as well as production issues, we chose to put her on formula. We tried Enfamil Lipil with Iron in the beginning and felt like she was always constipated. Then, we switched to the Enfamil Gentlease thinking it would help but her stomach seemed like it was always hurting. She had terrible gas and she seemed miserable. So, I have chosen to put her on Soy Formula made by Enfamil. Now, she is back to being constipated!
ANY SUGGESTIONS????

So What Happened?™
Thank you to everyone! I did call the doctor and they weren't too concerned about the constipation. He said as long as she was going every few days then it was okay. But, I feel so sorry for her and feel like she is in pain. I think I will try Good Start. I have some Enfamil Lipil (2 small cans and one used large can), a used can of Gentlease, and now some ProSobee Soy from Enfamil - if anyone can use it!
Thanks again!!!!!

My son had the same problem with constipation and gas with similac and enfamil. I used Carnation Good Start, It was the best, no more constipation or gas.

Hey B.,
I use the simalac organic for my son. Organic is more pricy but it is very good. You can get $5.00 coupons from simalac. Congratulations!

Sounds just like my son.....at 2 weeks was getting constipated on Enfamil so we switched to Gentlease which caused him to be gassy and fussy...we made the switch to Goodstart....Goodstart = Happy Baby!!!!!!!
Good Luck!

My son had constipation with soy formula, and the doctor gave me a very easy solution. Put a teaspoon of Dark Karo Syrup (dark corn syrup) in every bottle, and it will keep the baby from getting constipated. It worked like a charm.
