Which Dollhouse Do Your Kids Love?
My three daughters (age 5 and 3 year old twins) would really like a dollhouse for Christmas. While I don't want to break the bank, this gift will be the primary money spent on them for the holidays so I don't mind shelling out a chunk. It's important that it be engaging now and for several years to come, hopefully big enough for all three of them to play with at once, and of good quality/durable. I would appreciate any info on particular dollhouses and accessories which your kids have really liked and knowing where you purchased them (online or in a store) and approximate cost. Thanks so much for taking the time to give me a clue!

I'm a fan of wooden toys. They're durable, and those in natural (not painted) have less risk of lead issues. Some doll houses double-duty as bookshelves and can accommodate fashinon sized dolls and others. Here are some links to places that carry a variety of this type of doll house.

If you or you know someone with a membership to Sam's Club they have a really nice one there. A friend of mine has it and it. It came with all the furniture and is plenty big. The girls use barbies and figurine dolls (strawberry shortcake, polly pocket, etc) in it and it works great! Here is the link in case you want to see it and check the dementions out. It costs about $90.

Ok. I'm guessing you've gotten some great answers, and my daughter is a little too young for dollhouses. I wanted to share my personal experience when I was a kid. My dad built us a dollhouse and we got to decorate it ourselves. We each got our own rooms to paint or wallpaper we got to install carpet in the colors we wanted. It was one of the best memories I have from my childhood. Goodluck and what a wonderful Christmas gift for your girls. Can I just say, have the number of rooms to decorate be a multiple of 3 so each has the same number to decorate
