I need some suggestions of places to have my son's 6th birthday party. I do not like Chuck E. Cheese and outside isn't good because his birthday is in March and the weather is too unpredictable. Also, I don't want to have it at my home. I live in Denton. Thanks for all your suggestions!!!

What can I do next?

Hero's in Denton is a good party place, but a little expensive. Brunswick Bowl also does kids' b-day parties and we went for a 5th birthday party that was a lot of fun. I know McDonald's also does birthday packages. For a little less expensive, the Denton Parks & Rec Dept has birthday party packages at their different locations. The theme of the party may dictate which rec center you have to go to, but we've been to one through them and it was fun, too. Hope this helps!

Have you looked into "Going Bonkers" in Lewisville? My son loves it! It's indoors and they have climbing activities, games, food, etc... It's extremely noisy but then again any place with that many kids will be. No worse than Chuck E Cheese! In Flower Mound there is Boomerangs which is like a huge indoor bounce house with slides and nets and all kinds of stuff for them to climb on, in and through. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Check out your local park and rec center. I am having my son's 6th birthday party at Frederick P. Herring Recreation Center in Lewisville. A woman organizes games for the kids for the entire themed party (my son's theme is space)! I am really excited about it. Plus, it is very reasonable!! The kids will be entertained the entire time. Good luck!

I really depends on how many kids you're going to invite (and your budget). My daughters have had the big parties at the bounce places and roller skating rinks, but they also love the more intimate parties, where they only invite 2-3 friends, plus their sister and cousin (total of 5-6 kids). We've done things like the Dallas World Aqarium and the IMAX Theater when we've had a smaller group.

Good luck!

Hero's in Denton is a bounce house play for parties. You could also do Lunar Golf in the mall. Both of my boys had birthday parties at the fire station but this was in Krum. I know they do them at the Denton fire stations. That is always so much fun for the kids. Denton Natatorium has birthday parties also. There is also another bounce house place in the former outlet mall in Denton where Good Eats is located. Many gymnastics places have birthday parties also. I have been to parties at Achievers and Little Gym.

I am also looking for a venue for my son's 6th birthday. It's in January. I was just told about the Natatorium. I may persuade him that direction.

We had one at Going Bonkers last year. FUN! It is also less expensive it seems that Boomerangs. I just like the layout of the facility better also. It's hard when you can't really rely on the outdoor weather. We went to a party this past weekend at the Roller Skating Rink. Price wasn't bad on that either. Good luck!

In The Colony they have an indoor heated pool and they teach kayaking at the indoor pool. We went to a party there where the kids learned to kayak. It was different, fun and exciting because all of the kids got to go swimming on a very cold day.

Everyone wore life vests. It may be too "old" of an activity for him and his friends this year but it is something to think about.

I would check out Hero's in Denton, WinKids in Flower Mound and Boomerangs in Flower Mound if you are looking for somewhere you can have it, but not an overwhelming amount of work. I have been to parties at all three places and they turned out really well.

We live in Denton too. We just had our son's 6th birthday at the Natatorium. It's great because they have a indoor slide and the pricing is great!

My boys always loved Bowling parties at your sons age.We used to like to go to Main Event because it was close to our home but any bowling alley will do.
