Where to Go for New Furniture?

I am wondering if any of you know of a place that has decent furniture at a decent price? We are living in an apartment now and are going to be looking for a house soon. What we get for our living room here will most likely become our 'den' or family room furniture.
We have a 2 1/2 year old so durability is a plus!

Thanks for all the great advice on various local palces! We checked out a lot of these places and are trying to finalize our decision.... :)

stay away from Ashley furnitures! We bought 2 sets of bunk beds from them and when they arrived at our home, which was 3 weeks later after purchase. The first set was so damaged it wasn't funny. They put it together anyways told us when the new parts would arrive in the mail in about 3-4 weeks and someone else would be out to put it together providing those were not damaged as well. Our son's could not sleep or even play in their room because of this and had to sleep on the couch in the living room for months! Then our daughters beds began to have problems with week material. The all wood beds we supposively bought were just pressed card board. The sales person really got us with that line! Any ways a year later after purchase things finally got fixed and I will never go there again or recommend the place. Dealings with customer service were ridiculous and a constant handing of the buck. My advice is avoid this mess for your peace of mind.

IKEA is really reasonable and a really fun store with kids. They let the kids try out all the furniture (not like most furniture stores where the salespeople just glare at you from the minute your kid enters the store!) They're also really reasonable. They have a restaurant with kids chairs, toys and a tv playing kids movies and they also have an amazing child play area for the kids while you shop.

My husband and I are landlords to a building at 5916 E. McKellips Road, Mesa 85215....Corner of Recker and McKellips. We resently had to take back the building that housed a furniture store, we have to liquidate the furniture. We still have a few King beds, Armoires, couches, Tables and other items you are welcome to come and look. Please feel free to call before you come so someone can be at the store to open it. My number is ###-###-#### L. or Peter

I can't say it enought, Ikea!!! really good value and good quality. the best thing about this furniture is that it is afordable enough that if the 2yr old does eventually run it in, you haven't waisted too much money. the only thing is that you have to love asesmbling things, i think ikea offers a service for this at a charge though. also take a big car or hire a van. good luck, i am a ikea junkie and go back again and agin when ever i need something new.
