Where to Get Newborn Pictures Taken?

I know you have already filled in the what happend part, but I wanted to share my expirence with you. We went to JC Penny for my DD NB pix, and they were not so good... they basically just took a few pix and said next, didn't try much of anything. Ever sense for milstone pix we have gone to Kiddie Kandids (both lakeside and Roseville) and LOVE them! I normally spend about 130 each time, but to me its worth it. So for Easter we went to Portrait Innovations just to give it a try sense they are a bit cheaper... it was nice there... but they were really pushy in trying to make me buy more when I simply told the lady I was only doing the 9.95 package to try it out and then if I liked it we would be back... WELL we have never gone back... they just cant beat the quality of Kiddie Kandids. Im afarid if I go anywhere else, I will be disapointed and wish I had just gone to KK.

We go to Kiddie Kandids inside Babies R Us in Roseville...they aren't as expensive as a "professional" and they are better than Sears for sure. I wish we could afford to go to an actual photographer but we can't and we've had good luck with that place.

Portrait Innovations does a great job, and they have cheap packages starting at $9.95! They are located on Hall Road between Schoneherr and Hayes (on the Lakeside Circle). They are next to Pei Wei. We had my daughter's 3 month photos taken at the photo place inside Babies R Us, it's called Kiddie Kandids. We used the Lakeside location (at Hall Rd. and M-53). They're kind of expensive, though. That's why we go to a friend of mine who is a photographer now. She shoots outdoors so the settings are nicer and it's more laid back. Portrait Innovations they are on the outside circle by Lakeside Mall I had my kids pictures taken there did a GREAT job and very reasonable on their prices.

cant recommend anyplace .. but if I have learned anything about studio pix and kids..

you have to lower your expectations...

I used to want perfect pictures of lovely smiling children.. Now I am just happy if we get one picture of them not crying...

kids are generally pretty good for pictures at about 3 months to 1 year.. then they are totally awful until they are 3..

also dont dress them for the picture until you get there.. or they will probalby puke on their outfit,

I have a 2 and 3 year old and I dread picture day..
