Where to Find Cheap Clothes?

I just had my second son two weeks ago. I am so ready to be done with maternity clothing, but not back to my original size (of course). I want to buy some wardrobe basics for the transition period, at a really low price. Where are the good second-hand and thrift stores in the San Mateo area? Also welcome, tips of other places to buy really affordable clothing. Thanks!

What can I do next?

Also try craigslist or your local mother's group, I seem to always see offers there. Good luck!

Absolutely check out Savers in Redwood City - it's pretty darn cheap and you can really find great stuff. Also, I'd say check out local garage sales if you have time - prices are better, but you really have to go to several to find anything your size. Another idea would be to get together with a bunch of friends and have a "clothing swap" party - have everyone bring things that don't fit or look good on them, and then swap :).

You can try freecycle.org as well. It is an online community where you can ask or offer free stuff. You can get a lot of good stuff on it.

There is a store in RWC (downtown near the new movie theater)called Savers that often has good stuff. The key there is you have to be willing to shop. It is a thrift store, and is absolutely inexpensive, but you have to sort through some duds.
Good luck.
