I have lots of left over baby rice cereal and my daughter does not like it plain. I am looking for some recipes that I can hide it in. She LOVES anything to do with bread. Thanks!

What can I do next?

Poppers:

2 c peanut butter or soy nut butter
2 c baby cereal or powdered milk
1/2-1 c honey
1 c oats
1 c raisins or craisins (optional)

mix ingredients together, shape into small balls, chill. Makes 48 1-inch balls.

These are SOOO good. My son would not eat the baby cereal and as we always got it from WIC, we had a TON left over. We also had a lot of WIC peanut butter left over. When he was old enough to eat treats like Poppers, I made them all the time and used up all the baby cereal and caught up on the peanut butter. My son would not eat them with raisins, so I just made them without. Experiment with the amount of honey until you find what you like best. I like about 7/8 c. Watch out that nobody eats too many at once- they're so good it's very easy to do.

my kids didn't particularly like the rice cereal but they loved the oatmeal. I would mix it with the fruit and/or cinnamon and they would gobble it up.

This is not bread, but it tastes like banana bread. Mash a banana, add a little butter, and milk, and the rice cereal till it is the consistency you want. Then add some cinnamon and sugar. Then I would always warm it a little bit in the microwave. My son loved it! (he would never eat his rice cereal plain either, so I always mixed it in with pureed food and baby foods.)

I used to just dump some right into baby food. They really liked the apple-sauce like texture it gave all the different fruits and vegetables. You could also add cinnamon for a little extra flavor.

Hi J.

Try and google "baby cereal recipes".

In the meantime, if she likes bread, you can mix the cereal in applesauce, pearsauce, etc. and spread it on a piece of bread. Or cut bread into cubes and have her use it as a dipping sauce.

there is a recipe on the back of some boxes of cereal for pancakes. basically, though, you can just pour a bunch into your normal pancake recipe - i did and it doesnt change the taste or anything......
same thing with other recipies like cookies or etc. i dont know how it would work in bread with yeast where it would have to rise though....
there should be things online you can find....

If you have unopened containers, please consider giving them to a food shelf, homeless shelter, or women's shelter.

I used to make these pancakes all the time http://www.wholesomebabyfood.com/babycerealpancakes.htm

I still use oatmeal cereal to thicken my little ones yogurt in the mornings...he likes to do it all himself and does better when it is thicker.
