Where to Donate Breastmilk
I have a few weeks worth of frozen breastmilk and I was wondering if there is somewhere in Austin to donate it as well as the free samples of formula that I never used. If anyone has suggestions, I would greatly appreciate them. Thanks in advance.
So What Happened?™
Thanks to everyone that responded to my breastmilk donation inquiry.

This is a Yahoo site where you can donate to moms that really need it. You can find local donors or gals that will pay for you shipping to them for their babies.
I donate to the milk bank here in Austin if you have a running supply, but to donate there you have to have blood tests, and they ask that you donate for at least two months. So, if you just have some saved up but no more to follow, I'd check out the Yahoo group!

Contact the Mothers Milk Bank of Austin http://www.mmbaustin.org/scripts/
they may be able to help you out.
Also, the Capital Area Food Bank will take your formula samples, or perhaps Latina Mami

Good luck!

The only facility that will accept breast milk is the mothers milk bank and you have to be pre-screened and approved prior to donation. Even then you have to give LARGE quantites at a time. I dont remember the specifics but it is quite a bit.
You can probably donate the formula samples to one of the local women and childrens shelters.
