Where to Buy Plates/utensils/placemats

Can anyone help me find good, inexpensive plastic plates, untensils, placemats, etc? My son is 19 months and will only eat at the table. He will not eat on his tray or in a high chair at home, so I need to start setting a place for him at the table. Thanks!

What can I do next?

Ikea! They've got sets of plastic plates, cups and utensils that are kid sized, dishwasher safe, unbreakable and fun colors! They're also cheap! Target seems to have similar stuff, too now, though I don't know if they're as cheap.

Be very careful about using inexpensive plastic dishes. They are most likely manufactured in China and the standards are often ignored. Finding BPA-free dishes would be a better alternative and saving $10 isn't worth the chemical exposure.

At the very least, please do not microwave food in plastic dishes. The heating releases chemicals from the plastic into your food.

I just bought a lot of plates, utenstils, and placemats at Pottery Barn Kids (BPA Free). If you buy them before Nov. 2, you can get 20% off if you use the Partner's Card.

Sam's Club is the best prices that I have found.

I buy stuff in the kids section at IKEA. The size is good and the price is great!

My daughter is 17 months and is the same way. I use the placemats that you can bring to restaurants. I bought mine at the Babies R Us store, but you can get them online at One Step Ahead as well:

Also, Gerber makes a combo pack of a plate with a removeable suction bottom and removeable lip on the top. The suction isn't the best feature, but I like everything else about the plate. The plates also come with toddler-friendly fork and spoon that can all go in the dishwasher:

I bought 2 of everything so that I would have a rotation for when the other set of placemat/plate/fork/spoon are dirty.

She really loves it and I think it makes her feel independent.

My mother bought me children's plates, utensils, bowls, and cups at Ikea - I love them because I can put them in the dishwasher (as opposed to the other children's items that have to be hand washed). They come in all colors and aren't expensive; I'm sure they would have placemats there, too.

I would echo the responder who suggested caution when using plastic. Depending on how inexpensive you are wanting, the Salvation Army and Goodwills usually have very inexpensive dishes, etc.
