Where Do You Buy Shoes for Your Kids?
Dear Mums,
Recently my kid has outgrown all her fall shoes and I can't find any nice ones. It all seems junk..
Where do you buy them? Any ideas would be appreciated ( including online stores) Thanks a lot.
Dana.

There are so few children's shoe stores. It's frustrating. I buy shoes at Nordstrom, Lands End (online or in Sears) and Stride Rite stores. Hannah Andersson (online) also carry shoes. Stride Rite and Nordstrom are best for actually trying the shoes on.

Stride Rite by me is great but expensive, I usually go there for the shoes she is in the most. I also have found cute shoes at Marshall's.
Target and Walmart both carry shoes as well but I find that both the quality and the price are cheap, so if you are looking for shoes that last, I wouldn't reccomend them, but if you don't mind buying two of the same style so you can replace the worn out ones, then the price is low enough that you can do so.

For toddlers: StrideRite. Hands down. 100%.
One my son's feet passed the toddler stage (at around age 4/5) we switched to Vans & Adidas & REI type hiking boots & teva sandals.
Shoes were really important to us (for overall bone and muscle growth and health for their legs, hips, and spines) so they were a "big"/important expenditure. Meaning we did NOT go cheap, even if it meant having to tighten the belt a little.

I always get one pair of Stride Rite for each of my kids at the beginning of the school year. They last! My first daughter wore one pair a lot her school year and they stayed so nice that my second daughter is now wearing them. I also like Sketchers brand. Sometimes I have found Sketchers at Ross for cheaper.

check out stride rite online! I don't know that you can order directly from them, but they will have a "store locator" option and you can find a retailer near you.
