Where Do You Buy Little Girl Underwear?

I'm going to start potty training my petite 2 year old (under 25 lbs) and would like to find small underwear that will fit her and possibly training pants (do those still exist?) like the thicker cotton underwear. She is in 2t in length but quite petite so that many 6-12 month summer clothes still fit her. I do most of my kids clothing shopping online (can't find anything at ON, TCP, etc) or consignment stores (and I'm not about to buy her used undies), so I'll probably need to make a special trip somewhere to get them. I want to know they'll have what I'm searching for before I go, though - with three little ones it's a chore to get in and out of stores! Thanks!

What can I do next?

There are still some thicker training pants available - they worked great for us. I've seen Carter's at Target, Babies R Us, and online at babycenter.com. I also used the plastic covers to help contain accidents.

Carter's has a size 18 mo. that might work well for your petite daughter. I also bought some great ones and JC Penney, and Hanna Anderson sells some nice, but pricey organic cotton ones.

I have to admit that I am hooked on Children's place undies for my daughter. They are softer and thicker than most undies and come in XXS which should fit your little one. Up at the super outlets in Marysville they have a store. For the training pants you might be able to find wool or something equally thick and wonderful at Birth and Beyond. They have a great web site and if you call the ladies can tell you exactly what they have in! YEAH, potty training is such a great time!! Congratulations to you and your little one!

My daughter was about 20 lbs when potty trained and size 2/3 worked fine. You want them a bit baggy so they are easier to get on and off.

Hi H.,

Hanes make soft and good quality tagless underwear for toddlers. You can find them at the baby department in Target. They start at size 2T - 3T, but they are also smaller and feel softer than the ones from other brands, such as Fruit of the Loom. Pampers also make pull-ups starting from 2T - 3T. Good luck with potty training!
