It depends on if you want to marry in or outside of a church. My husband and I married at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Louisville because it is our home church but also because it is a gorgeous sanctuary flanked by phenomenal stained glass windows. Many people come there just to get married then stay because of the wonderful congregation and ministry staff. If you are not looking for a traditional church wedding, there are lots of options depending on budget, including the Louisville Science Center, The Louisville Zoo, The Belle of Louisville, EP Tom Sawyer Park, Churchill Downs, or if you have the guts for an outdoor venue (Louisville is know for weather that changes at the drop of a hat!) there is a beautiful bed and breakfast called PineCrest with gorgeous garden grounds where you can hold the ceremony and stay in the bed and breakfast for your wedding night. Just a few ideas!

We got married at Spindletop in Lexington. It was a gorgeous setting and helped to create fabulous memories. Best wishes for you and your fiance!

I saw a lvely wedding at the 'Captain's Quarters' along the river. They set up a pretty flowered arch, and the backdrop made for lovely photos! I suppose you have to worry about the weather though...
