Where Can I Hire Someone to Take Video & Stills of Me with My Son (Single Dad)

As a single father, with limited visitation, I would like to capture more videos and stills of myself and my son during his visits to my home, so I would like to find someone who would, on occasion, come to our house and use my HD video camera to take videos of us, and stills also.

I want my son to be able to look back some day, when I am gone, and see how happy we were as father and son, and to see how much I loved him.

Does anyone know where I could find such a person?

best,
P.

Dear Paul,

I can recommend an amazing photographer... Her name is Sarah Waters and her email address is ____@____.com number is ###-###-####. The pictures she has taken for myself and for our business have really been spectacular especially considering what she was working with (meltdowns with both of my little ones)... She is just getting her business started... and just has one of the best eyes I have ever seen.

Please tell her I sent you as she was so amazing to us I want her to know I am recommending her!

Good luck!
L.

Hi Paul, I would contact some nearby colleges/schools! Some of the people are really good & not gonna "take you to the cleaners" I know a son did this at San Diego Jr. College...now he is making movies.
Good luck & yeah.....you got the right idea, time goes faster than any of us knows about such special times in our(& their) lifes.

Hi Paul,

This must be really hard for you and you have all this time to contemplate the future and you want to make sure your son knows how much you love him. But remember that his adulthood and your being gone is probably a very, very long way away. Better than any picture or video will be his memories of you. I just worry that the presence of another person there to take video might make your experiences a little less authentic. Why not just take some stills and video of him yourself when he's with you and occasionally turn the camera back on yourselves to take a self-portrait. Those are always fun. You'll still have the record of the fun he had with you without the expense of hiring someone to document it.

If you just want home movies/pictures, try asking an older child in the neighborhood, like middle school or high school, sort of a "Father's Helper." You pay him/her a small wage for their services.

Have fun,
