Where Can I Find Fabric for Making Custom Bedding???

My daughter will be turning three next month and we're ready to switch her room to a "big girl" room instead of a nursery. I have stuck in my head the bedding I would like but I can't find it ready-made. I could make all the bedding myself but I am having a problem finding the pattern I want in a soft cotton fabric. I found the patterns I wanted at The Fabric Yard and at Hancock Fabric, but it's very heavy fabric almost like canvas. I'm specifically looking for pink and brown polka dots, pink and brown stripes and pink and brown toile. Anybody have suggestions on where to find this kind of fabric?

Thanks for any suggestions.

What can I do next?

I have seen a place on Midway just north of Beltline and I believe it is actually called Children's Fabric.

Try calico corners and Joanns fabrics. go to there website and put in your zipcode to find the nearest one to you.

IF you go on Midway (north of LBJ), there are MANY awesome fabric stores along the way. Actually, most of them are north of Belt Line, if that helps. The prices will definitely beat some of the more well known retail establishments.

Hi K.,

Javis Davis has great fabric and patterns! My best friend made her daughters bedding and curtains from fabric she bought here.

also try looking at the online stores, bc they often carry things online that they dont in the store

Joanne's does have great custom fabric and if you catch it at the right time it goes on for 50% off. The one with the best selection (imo) is at Preston & Forest.
Cutting Corners on Midway (in the area another mama referred to) is good and you could try Boca Bargoons on 75 and (I think)Spring Creek - it's on the west side. They have lots of Robert Allen fabric.
have fun!
