Where & When Are the BEST Holiday Craft Fairs?

I LOVE Craft Fairs and yet I'm having a hard time finding a list of all those going on in the DFW MetroPlex over the next few weeks leading up to Christmas. I was hoping that either someone knew of a site to view a master list or others could write in where they all are. I'm especially interested in any that are in Plano, Addison, Carrollton, Farmers Branch, Irving, Coppell/Valley Ranch and even Frisco. I really like some of the ones I've attended at the schools and the local churches...that are FREE for admission or a minimal FEE. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi L.,

A couple of websites you can find shows is: www.craftlister.com , also www.festivalnet.com . I know there are a few others, but I can't think of them off the top of my head! There is also a really good magazine listing shows all over TX: "Where It's At". I think their website is www.whereitsatmagazine.com

My parents organize & promote really high quality arts & crafts shows--mostly very nice handmade items. Their website is www.shoppingseasons.com . They have one show left this year at the Garland Special Events Center which is just off the George Bush Turnpike. They do charge admission to their shows (usually $3 or $4), but the admission always benefits a local charity or non-profit.

Hope that helps!

Hi L.,

I am participating as a vendor in several shows during the next few weeks. If you e-mail me at ____@____.com, I will share with you my extensive list of events. I would also like to hear about the ones you receive that may not be on my list because I'm building a database and already thinking about next holiday season.

Sincerely,
P.

There is a vendor show in the Highlands of Russell Creek on Saturday from 9-2 at their pool. There is also one in Ridgeview Ranch from 1 - 6 in the parking lot near the pool. Both neighborhoods are in NE plano near Independence & McDermott & neither costs to enter. If you want directions to either of these just e-mail me at ____@____.com. Happy shopping

My husband and I love to check for Craft Fairs etc. on www.countryreporter.com but some of these are outside of the metroplex.

We also like www.aolcityguide.com for ideas around the metroplex.

There is a really big craft fair that we've gone to the last couple of years in Ardmore, OK on Novemer 10,11, and 12th, if your interested. It's about an hour and a half or two hour drive up HWY 35 to get there but it's really big. We did alot of our Christmas shopping there last year.

I checked the Ardmore website and it shows two events going on that weekend and I'm not sure which one it is so we'll probably check out both since we'll be staying up there for the weekend. Here is their website.

L. - my daycare, Children's Choice Learning Center of Lewisville is having a Holiday Bazaar this Saturday from 10-2. Located at 423 Elm St., Lewisville, TX 75057 (right next to Medical Center of Lewisville)

Some of the vendors include Arbonne, Bows and More Galore, Creative Memories, Discovery Toys, Usborne Books, Pampered Chef, Planetjill Photo Jewelry...

PLUS: Gift mugs, children's nap paks, personalized embroidery, boutique children's clothes, custom photography, custom engraving, gourmet salsa, jewelry, and more.

Admission is free!

I've had trouble finding ways to advertise this, too, and would absolutely love to see some responses from other moms about events they have going on or other websites to find listings. I'm always looking to buy the great stuff sold by mom-run businesses, but I don't like attending parties....craft fairs are the perfect way to shop!

Hi,
my website caters to art and craft shows for vendors. I include all events that I can find or am told about. I am a vendor too and I sell wooden wares, thus the name of the site, http://rubiconscrolling.com/, but the full name is Rubicon Scrolling and Treasure Valley Vendors. It covers events in and near Idaho. It is also free. This is a vendor-market manager-shopper site, all three can find things here. To find events go to these pages, Events, Fairs, Markets, Rodeos. There is allot going on at this site, much more than what I have posted here, come and check it out.
