When Was the First Time You Felt Your Baby Move??

Hi~~I have a quick question here! I am 15 weeks along in my 2nd pregnancy. When was the first time you all felt your baby move the 2nd time around? I know that I started feeling my DD around 16 weeks, but that was three years ago. I'm afraid I have forgotten what I'm looking for:) Here the last couple of days I've been feeling alittle something in there like maybe a twitch or thump (that's the best way I can describe it)It doesn't happen all the time, just every now and then. BTW---The few times I did feel it was when I was sitting still, so that makes me think it is the baby in there. LOL!! Just wanted to get your opinion on this.

Thanks so much for listening,

B.

What can I do next?

Yep, it's the baby. I promise you that I felt my first one move just under 8 weeks, but my OB told me that it was too early to tell. Well, it was too low to be gas :0) and it was a definite pokey/fluttering feeling. I just let my OB feel smart but I KNEW that was my boy saying "Hi Mom!" for the first time.

Congratulations!!

I was 14 weeks along with my 2nd baby when I first felt her move. I'm really skinny, so they say it can be felt sooner in 2nd pregnancys and skinny people.
Congrats on the new baby!

I was probably around 16 weeks along with my second one when I felt him move. I think that is your little baby you are feeling how fun congrats!!!

That is your little one for sure:) I always said it felt like a butterfly in there at first, and then, I thought it felt like a hamster running around using the inside of my belly as its wheel. I felt that a little earlier with my later pregnancies, so it is likely that if you felt number 1 at 16 weeks, you would be feeling this one now. I hope you have a healthy successful pregnancy!~A.~

I am pregnant with my 3rd baby right now and probably around 19-20 weeks I would occassional flutters that felt like baby movement. Now that I am a little further along (23 weeks) I feel flutters at some point everyday, but no real kicking or major movement yet. I was a little worried at first, but because I have had so many appointments and sonograms I haven't really thought about it too much. Congratulations on baby #2!

Sounds like you're feeling the first flutters of movement to me. What a joy! Fifteen weeks is close enough. The old wives tales say that the first movement marks the halfway mark; but I'm sure your doctor would laugh at that. Flutters and tiny thumps means the baby is doing his/her thing! Enjoy!
