When Should I Start Serving Yogurt?

LMAO, I ask this after my 8 month old just stuck her hand in my yogurt and str8 in her mouth. At what age is yogurt an okay food for baby/toddler?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Thanks for the info, I called my ped. she suggests a year, so I will wait. On a side note, just because a company produces/markets a product for a baby does not mean it is safe or ethical for use.

My ped. said that yogurt can start earlier than milk, around 6 months. We gave our daughter Yo Baby starting around 8 months because of diaper rash from antibiotics. It really helped, and she loved it so much she still has it every morning for breakfast, and she is 2! The only thing to watch for is the other ingredients, in case you have not introduced a certain fruit to your child yet.

theres a baby yogurt at the grocery store called yo baby, and its organic! you can start that at 6 months of age.

Whenever the pedi says whole milk is okay. There are great yogurts for babies like Yo-Baby.

Hi!
I have 3 under the age of 5! THey have all been eating yogurt since about 6 months old. They love it and it is super good for them. I think it is one reason they are not sick very often at all! Yogurt is a wonderful super food for your kids, ask your pediatrician.

Do you mean 8 mo old? We started feeding our son yogurt at 6 months.
