Hi
This year my gift is a hot air ballon ride. I always wanted that. so the gift should be something that the moms realy would like to do or to get and didn't had a chance yet. Something that she will remember forever.....please no HOUSE STUFF, like appliance or etc....
I hope it helps !!

I own Effortless Errand, which seems to be very popular around this time. Husbands are ready to give their wives/mothers the GIFT of TIME for Mother's Day. We have gift certificates which will do just that. We will handle anything from housecleaning, laundry, thank you notes, gift wrapping, grocery shopping, car services, pet care, and MUCH MORE!!! We handle the work, while the MOM gets to relax.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

THANKS!

Hi! There is a web site....its called charmedlifejewelry.com and they have great stuff that you can personalize. They have cute sterling silver necklaces that come in silver disks that have words on them. You should check it out. I got something there for my Mom and I know I would love to get something from there too. Hope that helps....Cat

And especially for any of the men in your office who may also have a pregnant wife - the day off is the best idea!! Auto detailing, home cleaning, the works. Anything to let them have day off from running after kids and being able to lay her feet up on the coffee table and rest will be most appreciated!

My girlfriend had the same issue as Joanna with a spa certificate she received - took her several months to be able to use it because her husband is an Elementary School Principal and he works late often and finding care for her baby as difficult. Nice gesture though! Spas should have some kind of child care service for us, huh?!

The best gift I could get for mother's day would be for my children and my husband to let me know that they appreciate me and not just on one day but all year long. What makes any one day better than another? Just like Valentine's day...show me you love me all year. Say "thank you" often. Hugs and kisses are the best. Tell me about your day. Ask me about mine. Sit at the dinner table until everyone is finished eating. It is the little things that are so special. And it goes for father's day too. We don't really celebrate these "holidays" because we believe that you should show your appreciation all year long. One day does not make up for 364 days of not feeling appreciated.

So husbands and kids show your wives/moms mother's day every day of the year. Just say "thank you."

Wives do the same for your husbands and kids. Say "thank you." When your hubby does the dishes (and it is not how you would do it) say "thank you." Don't harp on the fact that it was not the way you would do it.

Just my two cents. Appreciate each other all year.

I got the coolest gift already for this Mother's Day. I got a new digital camera. I've wanted one for so long and he surprised me last weekend with telling me I could have it. I know some mothers would even like a small mp3 player or Itunes to have music going while doing chores, etc. If nothing else, a nice bouquet of flowers would be a good pick too.

I want exactly what Julie W got! In fact, I have had similar things, mostly for birthday. I got to sleep in (he got up with the kids and made breakfast), breakfast was delivered to me in bed. He took care of the kids while I took a leisurely shower, they took the car out and washed it and filled it with gas...

Basically, a DAY OFF!

From the kids, hand-made stuff. I don't want them to go buy me anything at all! I want them to make a card, draw a picture, write a poem, something from their hearts. I've always been of the opinion that I'm not my husband's mother, so I don't expect anything from him, but he always does...I love to get bath and body works stuff....

My family bought me a really nice picnic basket last year, and took me on a picnic at the park. I loved it!! It was nice and romantic for me and my husband, as well as fun for my daughter. Not to mention we can use it over and over again.

As a first time mom, I would really love something like waking up and having a card with a personalized note telling me that I am a great mom. That would go a long way. Flowers would be great, spa certificate also, or a romantic evening or brunch out. Like real romantic with flowers on the table, candles, or special spot (not like Chili's restaurant which I like but not that romantic). A real nice gift would be jewelry, like diamond earrings but I know that is asking a lot. But it would mean a lot and be very special. Good luck to all the guys in your office!

Last year, my two kids, with a LOT of help from my DH, made me personalized stepping stones. I absolutely love them. I was touched at the amount of time and effort that went into making them. My 15 year old son plays the saxophone and the guitar, so that was his theme....mosaic instruments (all done free form and it's absolutely beautiful)and his name. My 10 year old daughter, who doesn't really have any hobbies, ended up buying a pre-made mosaic sunburst and it also has her name on it. Time is something we all don't seem to have enough of these days, and it really can be a time-consuming project. I guess that's why I appreciated it so much--all three of them taking the time to make something fabulous for me. You can buy the kits in the store for around $15, but my husband ended up buying alphabet stamps for "engraving" their name in the stone, paint to fill in the letters, another mold so they could make two at a time, additional mosaic tiles and colored stones. So at the end of the day, he probably ended up spending around $50 for two gifts plus all of their loving time that went into making them. Good luck!

A family portriat would be my gift. I've been married 7 years and we have yet to have one done. He always buys me something but it would be nice to get something more meaningful. I asked for it again this year and we shall see...

I would LOVE a day to myself!!!!! Can you imagine?? A day without kids to do whatever III want to do?! I would love it if my husband would even take the kids away from the house and I could clean a little, watch tv, take a nap, and go to the spa. That would be the perfect Mothers Day gift for me!!

Last year my hubby got me a gift certificate for a half day at a spa, which was wonderful. The only problem is that he works 6 days a week, and teh place was closed Sundays so I had a hard time finding a time to actually use it!!! So, my advice is a Spa gift certificate is a wonderful gift so long as they plan a day that they can take the kids.

Other than that, I loved the idea of having my SUV detailed inside and out.

Also for anyone that doesn't have a cleaning service, hiring someone to come in and gve the place a good clean would be awesome!

I actually got this for my birthday...but would love it anytime...especially for Mother's Day....but my husband cleaned and detailed my SUV, inside and out, even took out the back seats and vaccummed underneath!

Also,,,,he and my 2 girls cleaned the house! Dusted, swepted, did the bathrooms and finished the laundry.

So, if the guys do not have a lot of $, cleaning the house and/or her vehicle is free!

(I went to lunch and browsed the stores while they did this, then laid out in the sun while they finished)

A few years ago, I gave my mom what I myself wanted: a 1 hour full body massage at a really nice place. She loved it! She would not stop going on about it for months. The next year I suggested it to the men that were asking about what to get their wives for Mother's Day. We were on a major construction project and couldn't leave work, so it was perfect. They called the dayspa and ordered/paid for the massages over the phone, and then left instructions on where to go in cards. Usually you can leave it open and the recepient can make an appointment at their leisure but since we were working, they made appointments for their wives and had flowers delivered to the spa to be passed out to the wives. It was a hit with every one of them! Not only does it just feel nice, but you can recognize how much mothers do for everyone and reward them for all the work with something that's relaxing, pampering, and a new experience for many of them (with the music and the oils and a professional)....ESPECIALLY the hot stone massage, which I thought felt like warm oil melting away..."everything" (didn't know it was stones, lol). The day after Mother's Day, I was the most popular person at work because all the wives were so happy.
