What Would You Gift?

My wedding is coming up in a month. I don't really have a wedding pary, per se, just 2 flower girls, one who is turning 3 on our wedding day, and one who will be 2 1/2 then. My son, who is 5, is the ring bearer. I plan to give them all a gift for being in the wedding, but I'm looking for interesting or clever ideas...

I already handmade little crystal name bracelets for the girls to wear with their dresses, so no jewelry. And I already made my son a cool ring bearer t-shirt, so something other than that...

Looking for other clever ideas that the kids would enjoy...

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

BTW, I also bought both the flower girl dresses, and naturally, my son's suit which goes without saying, but I said it anyhow! LOL

I definitely agree with Sam I Am. At my wedding I had "Bags O Toys" for all kids who were attending. It gives them something fun (for them) to do and is a gift they take home. Because they are in the wedding you could get them each one "special" item for each individual bag, (like a stuffed animal or fancy hair bows, gift card to a Jump Zone or Chuckie Cheese)but fill a small gift bag with things they can do while at the reception.

We made goody bags to keep the kids occupied at the reception. They were cloth bags with their name embroidered on it. Inside was a disposable camera, a small lego for the boys or a small Barbie (what was the little sisters name?) for the girls, coloring books, crayons, etc. They loved it!

When I got married I got my two flower girls Wedding Barbie.
We didn't have a ring bearer, but since your son, maybe just giving him a new daddy is enough:)
OH! Is there anything special the two of them do together, fish, boat, baseball, camp?? Maybe get him a new item that he and your new spouse can use when they are out hanging together:)

Can you go to a build-a-bear and create a little bride bear (or whatever animal) for each of the girls? I am not sure about your son, If he would like a stuffed animal then maybe you could make him a little groom bear? But I think they would be a hit with the girls anyways......

How about little backpacks with their names embroidered? I got my bridesmaids totes from Lands End with their names embroidered and filled with goodies. Or giftcards to Build a Bear...

My son received a silver engraved Yo-Yo for being in my brother's wedding. I thought that was great! And he was really happy with that.

I remember my cousin received a football bank from Things Remembered with his name engraved on it, I remember him just cherishing it. We did something similar for our ring bearer but for the life of me I can't remember what it was, because my husband took care of it. My flower girl just got jewelry.

For the bridesmaids and flower girl, we all went to Bead Mine and made our own jewelry (necklaces/earrings for the bridesmaids of their own choosing/design and earrings for the flower girl because her parents didn't want us spending more than a certain amount). It was a fun way to spend time. You've already covered the jewelry, maybe a pottery place?

The groomsmen who were big football fans got Steelers dress watches. The ushers who were big hockey fans got Penguins sports watches. The ring bearer just started fishing with his dad, so we got him a frame that had a tiny fish on top saying "Dad's Catch" and a giant fish on the bottom saying "My Catch" (with a space to put his own picture).

6yrs later, the ladies still wear their jewelry, the men still wear their watches (2 had to replace the batteries) and the ring bearer still has his frame hanging in his room.

Good luck!

It sounds like you have provided nice things to commemorate their participation in the wedding. Instead of a toy...maybe a day spent with them somewhere (after the wedding of course), like a zoo outing or gym type places or carnival. Give them a special day!

My bil and sil, got my daughter who was their flower girl (they also paid for her dress and head piece), but for her "gift" she got a flower girl picture frame, and strong her pearl necklace they got her at baptism. The picture frame is adorable, I put a picture of her all dress up in it.

What about taking them all out to the zoo or some cool indoor play place. That might be something they can all enjoy together without having to 'buy' them something like a toy or gift.

For my wedding we had 2 ring bearers and 3 flower girls... each of the girls got a monkey dressed as a bride (monkeys are my favorite animals, lol) and the boys got monkeys dressed as grooms. My mom made the bride & groom outfits for the monkeys and she also made ring-bearer pillows for each of the boys that had their names embroidered on them and said "Official Ring Bearer" with our wedding date.

I love the crystal name bracelet idea! I'm sure they will love them!!

Congrats - and good luck!!
