What to Do with Extra Diapers?

Before our baby came, we had a diaper shower and received SO many diapers! Now that baby is here and its 3 months later, we have a TON of diapers still. We received many different sizes and brands and he wasn't able to use all of them because he's grown so fast. Does anyone know of a place that I can donate the diapers? Most are unopen boxes, but some are open because we used half of the box. I would love to donate them somewhere and clear some space in the nursery.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Thanks all for the answers and suggestions! I ended up giving some to my mother in laws friend who has an expectant daughter and I brought the rest to St. Michaels in Bedford. Sorry to the ladies who asked for them, I didn't read those responses until just recently. I might have more in a few weeks since my little guy is growing so fast and we have more than enough size 2 pampers! I'm assuming he'll be outgrowing those soon. Thank you!

There is a place in Weatherford called the Grace House. They could certainly use them! It is a crisis pregnancy center and they can always use diapers. Give them a call. It's not that far of a drive from FW and totally worth it to help out these women that need help so desperately.

Find out if your area has a home for homeless families or battered women and their children. If not, you can always take them to a local church - they are bound to have an outreach program or someone they can contact. Or take them to the Good Will. I'm sure they are happy to sell them!!

I'm sure any homeless or women's shelter would happily take them! Check out your yellow pages maybe and see what you can find!

I agree with Valerie about Grace house! They helped me out sooooo much when I was a singe 18 year old mommy. Also, in Ft. Worth is a ministry called World Relief. My church works with them. They are a big help for refugee families here in Texas and especially the 500 families in S. Fort Worth! Their # is ###-###-####.

If they are not open most stores will take them back or at least exchange them for bigger sizes. It 3 months you still have a long time to use diapers. Homeless shelters and womans shelters should take the open packages.
