Talk to a lawyer, get a free consultation if you can't afford one. I wouldn't do anything without legal advice.

Unless you have been neglectful, they won't take your son away. Get the DNA test and when he's shown to be the father, go after him for support. If he's a teen as well, his family will have to provide for your baby.
Don't let him bully you with threats. Get the test and get support.

Talk to a lawyer. Yes proceed with the DNA testing. Ask for child support...although I am not sure how it works if the father is also a teen (minor)? Go to court and make sure the father gets visitation, you want him in your baby's life, even if you don't think so know, he still is this child's father! He will not be able to take your baby away from you.

Care for and love your child, I suggest going back to and finishing school, are your parents helping you? If you do all of the above in the proper "legal" way, I believe you will be just fine.

I suggest you have the dna testing. I also suggest you seek some legal advice about child support. You are going to need it.. If you are a good mother, you have nothing to worry about.. If he tries to take your child away, he sure will have a lot of explaining to do about not being a part of his child's life since he was born.

I am sending you strength..

Most states want both parents to be a part of the child's life. But he will have to explain why he has not been around to care for the child from the start. They will not let him take your baby away if you have done nothing wrong. I would seek legal advice though because that's going to be best for you it seems.

Get the DNA test done. You will need to know who the father of the baby is to provide proof for child support.

You need a Lawyer....
If you cannot afford one, look for "Pro-Bono Lawyer" organizations in your State. Most all States, have this.

You need to get custody.... or he can do anything he wants. AND take your son away from you.

HE has himself AND his family.... all against you. THEY outnumber you... and will/may try to manipulate you and take your son. You have to get help... for yourself and protect your son. Legally....

Get an Attorney, NOW.

Document everything.. if he tries to take away your son, call the Cops.

Is his name on the birth certificate?

Do you have family, your family, that can help you????

Yes, you should file for child support and then the DNA testing will follow. He is not going to have your son taken away from you! He's bluffing.
I'm sorry you are going to be connected in any way to this man who denies his child, but the very, very, very, VERY least he can do is exactly what the courts will make him do--pay support for this child.
Visitation and support are two different issues. No visitation/custody does NOT equal no support financially.
Get what you deserve, sweetie. This is the beginning of fighting for what your child deserves.
Best of luck!

Why would he want to take the child away
if he thinks it may not be his?
I think he may have said this to scare/intimidate you.
If your parents are in your life and supportive,
please let them help you with this.
If not your parents, then a trusted older person . . .
aunt? grandparent? family friend?
You need to go to court and get full custody of your child.
IF the DNA tests prove paternity,
you should ask the court to order child support payments.
If there's any visitation, make sure he, or his family,
are NEVER allowed to be alone with your child.
If the DNA test shows he is NOT your child's father,
get a restraining order against him.
Good luck.

Go ahead and have the dna testing done, go to court in order to take care of child support and visitation rights, to get custody, consult with a lawyer on all of this. You can have character statement from employers, teachers, pediatricians and such stating that you are a good mother, and witnesses stating that he has been an absent father.

if you are stable, and provide for your child it wont be easy for him to take your baby away, especially if he's not financially helping you...from what i know of your siti, depending on what you want for your baby....i'd go through with dna testing, get a support order (visitation will go along with that)....if you're uncertain about if you want him in your childs life (sometimes it's best not to) then don't worry about it. if the law is like oklahoma, then unmarried mom that has a baby AUTOMATICALLY has custody of the baby without an order....check your laws hun

Sorry that you are going through this! Go and get the DNA testing done. You need it to get your child support; and you DO need child support. This is about getting the best outcome for your child.

There is no way he can get your son taken away from you if you are a good and responsible mom, which I sense you are. You may have to live with split custody, and using a court or mediator to handle may be the sanest way to do things.

Absolutely have the DNA testing done! Your child needs to know for sure one day, anyway. Next, find some legal advice. If your parents can't or won't help you, look for free legal advice. Many firms offer some pro-bono help to people who can't pay every month. You also want the DNA testing so the father can be MADE to pay child support -regardless of whether he sees the child or not.

So he's an absentee father who doesn't believe the child is his, but he now wants to take him away? Document everything from the time of birth (or when you told him you were pregnant) to the present day.

I noticed you mentioned on another posting that you'd lost a lot of your friends when you became pregnant. Do you have the support of your family? If not, find a support group near you......it's always helpful to have a warm hand to hold onto to!

I wish you Peace....stay strong & protect that baby!

You need to have the DNA testing done. Whether it's him or his family that is challenging this fact, it's not going to simply go away. Proving he is the father is going to help you, not hurt you.

After the DNA test come back, you need to get your legal affairs in order for both you and your son. Get a custody order and file for child support.

What makes you think he can have your son taken from you? He obviously has no desire to raise a child. Does he have any evidence to support the fact that your an unfit mother? Or here's my opinion, he's just trying to scare you.

Good luck.
