What to Do for a 7 Year Old Girl?
My daughter will be turning 7 soon and I'm trying to figure out what to do for her. She is to big for chuck e cheese and jeepers. She's a little lady so I'm trying to think of something to do for her. I was thinking movies or a skating party, but I can't skate and I'm not sure if she can. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

There is a placed called Libby Lu....the closest is in Parisian in Rochester. They let her pick an outfit to wear , do her hair and makeup and then the kids dance to a song. Prices start at 20.00-30.00 for the different packages. My sister-in-law takes her daughter there once in a while. She loves it. It is a great place for younger girls to feel special. Hope this helps.

One thought is to take her and 3 friends to a Special Day at the Salon. (Too costly if larger.) My husband's stylist arranged to have us come in just before closing. Girls had nails and hair done. I was able to bring in finger sandwiches and petit fours as they had back lounge. Served pink lemonade in plastic champagne flutes. They thought this was the coolest! Cost as much as other parties at local venues such as Jeepers or Caesarland. Take home gift was nail polish, hair ties, and recipe for homemade facial mask 9safe for kids). They are still talking about 2 years later. A local spa may offer something for kids this age. Check it out in your area.
Skating seems to be the thing with boys and girls now. They get to listen to all the funky music. Food right there. 1 stop deal. Yes, the problem is some kids can't skate or skate well and end-up sitting down or hugging the railing most of the time. So, unless you know all can skate, go for the spa party.

There is a great place in Plymouth called the Sweet Afton Tea Room that used to do children's birthday parties. Girls get dressed up and have pb&j tea sandwiches. If they still do it, a "little lady" would love it. phone # is ###-###-####

What about the Livonia Rec Center? They have a great pool with slides. Not sure of the cost, but would be fun for them.

At Lakeside Mall there is a store called Club Libby Lu (www.clublibbylu.com). When I saw it, I thought that could be such a cute idea for a girl’s birthday party.
Also, what about Great Lakes Athletic Club in Lake Orion?
Good luck

Have you ever been to Libby Lu (spelling?) in Laurel Park at Parisian. I don't have any girls but I have plenty of nieces, and they LOOOOOVE it.
