I need help to decide what I should do for my sons 1st birthday on oct. I am limited on funds and time. This is my second son and I when crazy with my fist sons birthday but this time around I dont have as much to spend and don't have a lot of time to plan it since it is in a few weeks he was born on oct.11 so I will most likely do it that weekend. I feel bad because It won't be as grand as the first one but I just want to do somthing. And suggestions on a place time and food Ideas would help and maybe a theme.
Thanks
Moms!

S.,
I have had birthday parties every year for my kids but, now my youngest is about to turn one tomorrow and I'm at the same dilema. But, my major problem is everytime i give a party we barbque so my guest are almost certain to be expecting barbque but, I can't afford that this round. So I'm giving the kids chicken nuggets and french fries or hot dogs and chips but, to avoid the weiners and choking I probably go with chicken nuggets or for that matter I might call McDonalds for a cheap party.

I understand that you want your child's 1st birthday to be a blast, but to be honest they aren't going to remember it. I would just have a house bday party for him, with a pinata, cake and ice cream. Have finger sandwiches, chips and cheetos puffs for the little ones. If you can afford it, get a moonwalk. that way they can play in there. Let me know if this helps.

Don't do a big party. Kids that age don't really appreciate it and you don't get a moments rest. You should have a big party until they are about 3. You should either just invite a few kids over for a pizza or go to the park and do it there. I spent over $1200 on my daughter's first birthday and it was very stressful and she wasn't even aware of what was really going on because she was only ONE!

Since he is only "1" and your limited on money & time, I would just have a few friends over to your home and have cake & ice cream ! I have a 9 yr. old & a 6 yr. old ! & I have not had Birthday Parties every year for them, BUT we do have cake & ice cream to celebrate !! Have a great day !
