I don't drink. I like to keep control of my faculties and let other people get stupid. Seems like too many people don't know when to say "when".

When I'm at a party - I drink Coke or water.

IF I want a drink? Tom Collins.
Fru-fru drink? Strawberry Daquiri.

Well I am currently on a 30 day "no alcohol" span with a girlfriend (boo! lol) but when I am not, I like anything that is not too sweet, not a dark liquor and not too full of calories. So... wine, beer or flavored vodka and soda water pretty much :) I love the taste of a blended strawberry margarita with salt but I just can't justify 400 calories for a beverage :)

Bud Light! I'm a country girl from an ag town, we all drink Bud Light lol! If I feel like a liquor drink, I'll go with a vodka cranberry or a margarita :-)

Vodka and whatever. (vodka cranberry is my favorite....hey, isn't cranberry good for your kidneys?) :P

I really love fuzzy navels if done right (they're loathsome if done wrong). I make the best ones, I think. And the Westin here makes lovely ones too! If it's a hot morning or afternoon, I like mojitos. If it's a hot night, I like ameretto and pineapple. I'm all over the place. :P

Like Theresa, I'm game for whatever. Especially if you're buying. But no tequila. My only "rule" (unless it's in a banana, mango, or strawberry margarita.....and my husband is present to keep an eye on how many).

depends on my mood . . . Usually either an amaretto sour or a rum and coke. But sometimes I'm in a mood for a good Bud Light or Hefewiezen (in St. Louis I ALWAYS get Schlafly for this), and if I'm having a nice meal then I like a nice glass of chardonnay :)

I almost never drink - maybe once or twice a year depending on what else is going on.

When I do, it's a sex on the beach or a pineappple and malibu.

yes, i am a cheap drunk lol. not that i've been drunk in i dunno how long...i did get tipsy at thanksgiving with my family, that was awesome lol. love my family!

planning a canoe trip this summer with same said family, might be the next time i do, as a matter of fact lol. doubt we'll be drinking wine tho...;)

i also like the fruity "hard punches" they have now.

My husband and I taste different kinds of wine. We especially like Montepulciano, Vouvray and silvaner grape wine; I also like Pinot Noir and one called "Conundrum." He actually has vintners in his family back in Germany!

Pinot Grigio if it's a beer and wine crowd. If it's a mixed drinks kind of night...margaritas, amaretto sours, white cranberry cosmos if it's a drink and stay sober night. If it's tie one on kind of night (which happens once every few years) then it's tequila shots, kamikaze shots or long island iced teas. And then lots of advil and sleep.

My very favorite drink when I'm out somewhere is a Pomegranate Martini - Yum!

I'm not a drinker but when I do have a drink I really like Long Islands. I may have two or three a year. One is MORE than enough for me. I'm a cheap date.

If I am out at a club it's Amareto Sours or Corona Lite with Lime. If I am home it is a Reisling wine or a Moscato.

For Real: vodka with soda, or something with rum. I do like wine, too. I didn't start drinking until I was 20, and then I didn't drink any time I was pregnant, or much at all while I was nursing, and by then I was 35. I am finding I like pretty much anything, except beer. Not a big beer fan here.

In my Perfect World: really really old scotch (18+yrs), over ice. *sigh* It such a rarity in my life, and that's probably a good thing ;)

wine (white, white zinfandel, reisling), because it's available and cheap at the grocery store (not having to make a trip to the liquor store). Here in Texas liquor stores are separate from the grocery store. Not sure how it goes in other states.

But when I don't have wine, or I'm at a friend's house, I love a good margarita (I have a super easy recipe that I just love for margaritas on the rocks).
- 1 can frozen limeade
- 1 can-full of tequila
- 1 can-full of water
- 1 12 oz can of beer (we use the cheapest light beer we have)
Mix, serve over ice.

A friend made me a cherry vodka sour that was super-yummy too.

I am hooked to a blueberry beer right now called Wild Blue - Oh is it oh so good! Yum - and very potent. So I only need 1 bottle and I am good for the rest of the night. A six pack lasts me a couple of weeks since lately if I do drink it would be Fri or Sat and as I said - only need 1 beer with this stuff. YUM!

Wine; I like dryer Reislings, and Pinot Grigio. I do like some reds OCCASIONALLY Merlot, Shraz....but that can't be warm

And certain places make great Margarita's. But I can only do one. Too sweet!

I usually prefer a red wine, not sweet. A good zinfindel or malbec usually sounds about right. If the weather is a scorcher, then I will want something chilled, like a pinot grigio or riesling... the lighter I can find, otherwise it isn't what I want.

If I am eating mexican style I would probably prefer an ice cold beer. It goes better with the salty flavors. My preferred beers are varied: Amstel Light, Rolling Rock, or (Australian for beer) Foster's. Hubby's go-to beer is Miller Lite, and I will have a few sips from a cold one of those, but that's about all.
In the summer by the pool, sometimes I really like a Smirnoff Ice Green Apple or Wild Grape drink. Yum.

Tequila before dancing (vertical or horizontal)
Beer doesn't need an occasion ((I forget, living in the NW, that some states don't have "beer aisles". We have over 150 beers in our local store's aisle. National, regional, local, micro, international. Fun stuff. I bought my dad 1 of every german beer for xmas one year and had 45. I got him every microbrew for his bday and had 73))

I rarely drink these days, as well. Still like it, but my life hasn't been conducive to drinking for a few years.

Lately I've been all about Caipirinhas. YUM. But I mostly drink red wine( the drier the better) or beer (dark ales).

I also love Margaritas.

I try to stay away from Whiskey. It makes me crazy.

I rarely drink, but I like Piesporter or white zinfandel. Asti Spumoni on New Year's Eve. At a party if my husband has a beer, I like one sip. Doesn't taste good after that.
At my favorite Tex Mex restaurant, they have awesome sangria. I might have one of those on my BD. Thankfully, they won't give out the recipe or I might have that more often.

I don't drink around home and if I'm out I am usually the driver in my almost free company car. If I'm out of the country it's a little different. Cruising maybe something fruity and frozen, Europe maybe wine, other locations vary.

I haven't had an amaretto sour since 1986!! They were pretty good as I recall :)

Wine, usually red. White if the party is hot (temperature). Beer if it's outdoors, summer, otherwise appropriate. Either beer or wine with dinner. Margaritas if Mexican food - I make a pretty good one.
