Does anyone know how much Walmart starts out at per hour? I'm looking to return to work soon and I need something that pays somewhat decent per hour. How about the walmart distribution centers? Do they pay more? If anyone can help me, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

What can I do next?

Hi J.! I currently work for walmart here & have been with the company for almost 9yrs. they pay on your experience now with retail. It does depend on the cost of living where you will be going & what department you will go too. Any questions you can call my cell ###-###-#### after 4pm tomorrow! I work 7-4! Hope this helps. Good luck

A couple years ago I was in the dressing room of my local WalMart and I could hear through the wall two workers bxxxxing about how neither one of them had received a raise in over 5 years. Both claimed to had worked their butts off. But I do know the Target Distribution warehouse in Suffolk pays out big time!

Hey,

Have you ever considered becoming an Independent Consultant for Arbonne. You could still stay at home with your daughter and earn a supplemental income while doing it. I began my Arbonne business just a few months ago and am having an amazing time meeting other people and building a home based business to boot.

Check out my site www.abriggs.myarbonne.com.

My number is on the site please feel free to call or email me with questions.

The compensation plan is amazing.

I've worked there before as well. The pay really does depend on department and experience. I started out at 5.35/hour, but I had little experience in retail. If you have a Lowe's closeby and don't mind a little heavy lifting, I would try that. Lowe's starting pay for me was 6.75/hour. I'd still be there if I hadn't had to move away. Trust me Lowe's is almost always hiring around spring time, its one of their busiest seasons and they usually need help!

Hey it all depends on where you are located. I use to work there and they change some things up and its based on where you live how you start off there.

I don't how much the store or the distribution centers pay but I do know the distribution centers pay more!! My girlfriend worked at one of the centers in Indiana I think she made around 8 an hour to start and was over 10 after a few years. I think they have good benifits too as far as insurance goes. Sorry I couldn't be more help than that but good luck!!

I had no experience when I got hired at the colonial heights walmart. I was a front end cashier, but I also worked in other departments when needed. I even worked in layaway one time. My starting pay was $6 an hour. When I left, I was making $7.28 an hour. The only bad thing about being a cashier was when a manager or co-manager would tell a cashier what register to go to, and not write down which register a cashier was on, so you would see CSM's running around trying to put which cashier was on which register. It's been 6 years since I left, so I'm not quite sure how they do things now. Hope this was a little helpful. Sorry if it's not.
