What Pediatrician Do You LOVE in Denton/Corinth

This is a spin-off from my original question. I should have asked this question first because it is WAY more important for me to find a pediatrician for my kids than a doctor for myself. Who is your pedi and what do you love about him/her. Thank you so much.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you all for your kind responses. Unfortunately I could not get in with Dr. Golf or Dr. Day so I took my son to Dr. Squires. Not sure if I liked him or not so I will go a few more times before I decide. If I realize I do not like hime I will see Dr. Jones. Thanks again for all your responses!

The doctore i am going to recommend is a family doctor in Denton, but he is so terrific. We are new to Texas and i found him in the phone book and my husband went to see him. He spent so much time with us not like most who get you in and shove you out in 10 minutes or less. He was funny too. I really liked him a lot and will be taking my 11 yr. to him as well. he is located on Old north Road 2412 old north rd. ste 100b hope that helps

My kids see Dr. David Goff. He is so wonderful and full of engery. The nursing staff is great and quick to call you back when you have questions I don't think he is taking new patients. But the other doctors in the practice may be. I have many friends who go to Dr. Shuleman and I have heard wonderful things about Dr. Jones and Dr. Adams.

My children go to Kid's First Pediatrics in Highland Village which is one exit south on I35 of Corinth/Lake Dallas. From my home in Corinth, it takes about 10 minutes to get there. I've always had very good service there, when my children have been sick, we've been able to get an appt. within an hour or two. Dr. Kelkar sees my twin boys and has always been very thorough, caring and attentive at their well visits as well as sick appts. My daughter has seen their PA Lee, she is a very lovely and attentive lady as well. I would recommend this office with great confidence.
I hope that you will enjoy living in Corinth. We've been here almost five years and feel it's a great place to live and raise your family. It's still sort of small town feeling but you have the benefit of Denton or Lewisville within a few minutes driving to get all the "city stuff" you need.

I'd recommend Dr Rhonda McDowell in Corinth. One comment about Dr.Day. I'd heard great things about the Goff's, but unfortunately at the time, they weren't taking new patients (not sure if they are now). So, I thought I'd try to get into the practice by seeing Dr. Day. I went to a group intro meeting he held w/ prospective patients where he told us all about himself and the practice. He appeared a bit young and arrogant to me, but what really floored me, was when (and I can't even remember the context, I was too shocked by the statement) he said, "If you want your kids to ride the short bus..." We were a group of strangers to him and he had no clue if any of us had developmentally disabled kids. That sort of comment is completely unprofessional and just plain mean. I was appalled.

We also use the Cooks Children office off Teasley ###-###-####
with Dr. Torrie. There are 4 doctors in the office Goeff, Goeff, Torrie, and another younger man, I am not sure of his name.
I do not know if they are accepting new patients at this time though. Dr. Torrie is great with my kids and has been very supportive of me. I was unable to vaccinate my son due to a male family history of autism in my family.
Good Luck :)

We have seen Dr. David Goff at Cooke Children's off of Teasly in Denton for 8+ years. We absolutely love him. His wife, Karen, also works there and she would be my next choice.

We LOVE Dr. Squires - he is off of Bonnie Brae in Denton. The phone number is ###-###-####. We have seen all of the Doctors at that office and all are great. I never have to wait and they are very friendly and knowledgable - I always get an explanation for everything - it's great!

I agree with Cook's off Teasley.
We are patients of Dr. Day and he is wonderful.

Why? he follows up/he cares
My little guy had jaundice when he was born and it wasn't something we knew until we got home, we ended up having to return to the hospital. We were released again on a Friday. He called me all weekend and walked me through some of my concerns, he answered question after question and never rushed me, he has continued to give us great care for all three of our children. His nurses are just as GREAT!!

Good Luck on your move and don't ever hesitate to im if you have any other questions about Denton.

God Bless

Dr. David Goff or his wife Dr. Karen Goff is who I would highly recommend. They have two other doctors in their practice, but I don't know much about them. My son has had to see Dr. Day a couple of times when Dr. David was out of the office and he was just ok. He didn't seem to be as patient and caring as Dr. David. All the nurses are great there too. Their address is 3201 Teasley Lane, Suite 102, Denton. Phone number is ###-###-####. My son really likes Dr. Goff too. Anytime he gets hurt he says that we need to go see Dr. Goff, so I guess he's confortable with him too and he just turned 4. If you decide to go with them, I hope that they are accpeting new patients. Good luck.

I LOVE Dr Torrie at Cook Children’s on Teasely in Denton. We have seen the other 2 doctors (husband and wife) in that office also and I thought they were great as well. Dr. Torrie is just our primary. The office staff is always friendly, they have completely waiting areas for well and sick children, they trust me as a mom to know when something is wrong with my children and they allow me to make educated decisions regarding my children without second guessing me. I LOVE Them!!!!

Hey L.,

My husband and I just had our first baby 2 weeks ago. We'll be 33 this year. We chose our pedi by asking my OBGYN who she took her boys to. We Love Him. His name is Dr. Jeff Day at Cooks Childrens in Denton off of Teasley Rd. The doc and staff are really laid back. I can see how kids would feel comfortable going there because it doesn't feel like a uptight clinic. Dr. Day wears bowling/hawaiian shirts w/jeans and or slacks. The staff wears jeans/slacks and Cooks Childrens t-shirts. The atmosphere is just very welcoming and clean.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any more questions.
